I have Hypothyroidism which is hard enough for doctors to take seriously so I’ve looked into (in the past) blood tests that you can do yourself, only to be told that they aren’t very good and most doctors won’t accept the results 
Just checked my gp app and now I see they are advertising home blood tests!!! Obviously when they are making money the results will be acceptable
