Thank you so much for your reply, that's what I've started doing. For dinner, I eat protein, a little carbs and fill half of my plate with mixed veg. A snack and other meals consist of mostly fruit, I am definitely consuming less calories than I used to and am also walking daily as well as about to workout. My stress and worry is that none of this will get rid of my belly overhang. I don't mind arms and legs as they're easier to tone up with walking and workouts, it's apron belly that I'm worried I can't get rid of 😔
It’s really hard to be able to say what our bodies will do. I lost 7 stone and I was surprised that my tummy went fairly flat as it had been very big. I did have a little excess skin there, not loads and it was only really noticeable in the plank position but it did used to bother me. Overall though it was preferable to being as big as I had been previously. The best way to lose weight is slowly and in combination with exercise, I think rapid weight loss is more prone to leaving people with looser skin or maybe an overhang. As I say your body may surprise you but don’t let your worry deter you as you will feel so much better carrying a bit less weight and living a healthier lifestyle xx

Thank you 🙂 You're probably right, who knows if my belly will go back to the way it is, I can only do my best and see what happens. If if doesn't, I can always wear clothes that cover all my frumpy bits anyway. I'm finding it hard, but it'll all be worth it in the end xx

Jumping in here, think it is great you are doing this and think of the benefits to your health. Both physically and mentally your body will thank you. Keep going, if it was easy everyone would succeed but the fact you are doing it, is the first and hardest step.
My biggest advice is make small adjustments first as if you try to do everything in one go, it usually is harder and you are more likely to give up. So I would suggest sticking with what you are doing, 21 days creates a habit and then once the habit is established, add in new routines. Good luck xx

Thanks so much, I really appreciate it! ❤
I already am feeling slightly better a week on.... Less sluggish and rubbishy, and also reducing my risk of diabetes and other health problems, I hope to get rid of my overhang as it makes me feel so unconfident, but I'll be glad just to get fitter and slimmer. I've already wanted to give up and held in tears whilst walking and panting but am gonna fight on through best I can. Thank you again, that was needed 😊

I'm type 1 diabetic so I can safely say I wouldn't wish this disease on my worst enemy! So anything you can do to reduce your chances is fab! You got this xx

Thanks so much, sorry to hear that, I knew someone who had type 1 and hated it too, it took over their life. Take care xx

Other than Argos and Decathlon, any other recommendations for where to buy barbells? I've been having trouble locating a set.
