Holly Gabrielle #10 Chasing times while Angelo whines

If you buy together, the solicitors draw up what the agreement is on the deed, the problem comes if only one person has bought and the other actively contributes toward the mortgage, which is less common in unmarried couples tbh, young people are a bit more clued up about this now due to a variety of factors, I think both of them own it, so not a problem, as both are liable and will have a record of what the % share is for sale if they invested different amounts at the start.
it’s much easier to get divorced (if you don’t have many assets or kids) than it is to sell/get out of a house.
Yes - my parents had major issues when it came to finances when they divorced because my mum had paid the deposit but my dad paid the majority of the mortgage over 15 years. My partner and I on the other hand are unmarried but own a property together, split completely equally so as you say, if we ever did go our separate ways it'd be obvious that we'd receive equal proceeds when we sold it. I don't see how marriage would make any difference to that - interested if there's a reason why it would!

It's more common that young couples leave off one person that still pays the mortgage especially if they have drastically different incomes and assets because one of them may not qualify to get a good mortgage rate. Im not saying that is for sure the case, but I could definitely see Angelo being left off because he made so much less or holly being left off because technically she did not have stable income even if she made a lot off of youtube.

Your parents had a hard time because one of them rightfully exercised their right to the asset that they rightfully owned through marriage and the other one tried to fight it

I'm pretty sure they said that they were renting out the flat in London, but they weren't getting much income from it. God knows, I assumed they were living off of their savings
Yeh I think in this day and age renting out somewhere you have a mortgage on isn't really that lucrative , the whole financial aspect of this is so bizarre and it's why I don't understand why Holly hasn't been using her channel more to promote this all

Yeah, absolutely. I made a similar point recently, I think, that it probably would have made sense for Holly to post her side of this onto her old channel. Angelo could have started his own, and I know there's issues there - but at least they'd be getting ad revenue while they figured things out.

I suppose as long as the mortgage repayments are covered and they can eat/travel, they're fine (I guess).

It really does, when I was growing up a friends mum was a lawyer and loads of what she dealt with was cases like this where a couple split up and there ended up being disagreements about it. She wouldn't let any of her children buy until they were married as you're much more protected. Effectively in this situation whoever has a better lawyer just is

Danny Rae - who is pretty good but only just at elite 15 level - just PB’d in Warsaw at 56:08…. Angelo has no chance surely

Quoting myself because seen Angelo has finished in 1:05… lots of work to do there. Can’t wait to see the excuse.

Holly goes 11:30 (can’t work out if that’s 11:30 in Poland or UK haha!)

To be honest, given he finished last time at 1.04 then 1.05 with the much heavier weights is really good. But yes, no where near Elite 15.

Just had a look and Angelo has finished 135th out of 411 competitors (there's obviously still a long way to go before it concludes, so there will be plenty more). Finish time of roughly 1:06.

While that is very, very good for your average person, especially in his first Pro race, he is hoping to be "elite". That seems so far off the pace right now, and I don't see how he narrows that gap when he already has 132 people ahead of him. I can almost guarantee that the majority of those above him are not doing this full-time and will be balancing other commitments.

Hate to be pessimistic and kudos to him for giving it a go, but there is no way in hell he ever gets to that Elite 15 standard.

So the question comes, what happens if Holly makes it in say 6 months and he doesn’t?
does he force her to give up? Do they give it up and return to London?
I just don’t get good vibes from him, I don’t think he’s good for Holly

I really hope that she has the wherewithal to not give up on this, if indeed that is the case. My instinct is that she's going to be a lot closer today than he is.

I also don't love him for her, so I hope I'm wrong and he's supportive behind the scenes.

Holly has finished 8th.

Fair play to her. She might actually make it in this (but the less we say about Angelo the better).

Wow, good for her! Looks like she really has what it takes (as long as she doesn’t put Angelo’s feelings before her own).

So I looked at the results breakdown and Holly came 3rd in her age group and 8th overall in the women’s absolute massive kudos to her! She achieved her previous goal of podiuming in her age group so well done Holly. I am happy to eat my words that I didn’t think she could do it.

Angelo looks like he had a meltdown towards the end of his race and struggled on the wall balls again.
I really hope he can celebrate Holly’s success and not just look for excuses for his performance.

Does anyone understand /know what you need to achieve to become Elite cos I don’t?!

How do you see how many competitors were there? Their total times are actually quite close together. Does anyone know what all the factors are that make up the ranking?
