Just returned from our trip to Senegal. It was lovely. Unfortunately, due to illness we didn't get to explore as much as we'd hoped but, we enjoyed what we did see.

I had been looking at South America and Antarctica for early 2027 but the dates don't work. I'm looking at Asia late spring instead.
I've found a cruise package deal with flights to Tokyo and 3 nights in Tokyo but I think it would be a lot cheaper to book separately, based on the Emirates flight costs for this May.
For those that have been to Tokyo, it's it easy to navigate transport i.e. Airport to hotel and arrange trips/excursions when there?
We'd disembark in Seoul, has anyone been there, it's it worth staying a few days there?
Haneda for Tokyo is super easy. Narita a little more tricky I believe.

Unfortunate, Emirates go to Narita, but I'm sure we can work it out.
Edit - it appears they do both.

Overnight the cruise dropped £700, which is a happy result :)

This isn't a holiday question, but more a question regarding cabin crew. Do any of you know how long cabin crew get to spend in the country they travel to? It varies when i google it. It seems that 24 hours is common for medium length travel, such as to the Caribbean or USA.

If you use tiktok a lot of Emirates cabin crew do rosta reveals. I think the most I've seen then get for a layover is 50 hours but not very often

This weather is making me want to go away next Feb half term. Where's warm that's not long haul? My children are 7 & 4 xx

The Canaries are usually your best bet. Tenerife is probably the warmest this time of year. Lots of hotels, apartments and resorts that are geared towards families.

Marrakech is upper 20s at the moment. 3.5 hr flight and no time difference. I love it there out of season and a lot of hotels are geared towards families.

Anyone been to Malta? Just booked 5 nights in June and thinking of booking hotel in Sliema? Seems like a decent location being able to walk to St Julian’s and get boat to Valetta

Don’t stay in st Julian’s, it’s gone very downhill and rough, lots of strip joints and felt quite seedy.

I didn't like Malta at all. It's the one place I've wanted to come home from. I found it really un-family friendly, people were rude and worst of all there are no birds as they shoot them all.

We stayed in Valletta, lovely town and we really liked it. We were there for NY a few years ago, maybe 7 and thought it was a lovely place and found everyone to be friendly.

We went in October and stayed in Sliema... It was perfect! We weren't fussed on St Julian's at all so glad we didn't stay there. It was perfect for buses to everywhere and the boat across to Valletta.

Has anyone been to Jordan? It's only around 5 hours from London non-stop. I have wanted to visit Wadi Rum and Petra for a while. Apparently you can stay at the desert camps too, which would be a nice experience I'd imagine.

Yes. We went in December with Exodus Adventure tours and it was incredible. Everything was taken care of, transport and accommodation wise and we did everything (Petra, Red Sea, Dead Sea, Aquaba, Amman and Jerash and had a night in the desert that was magical. It’s a very safe country and the people are great.

No, my trip to Petra has now been cancelled twice, not that I'm still bitter, or anything :ROFLMAO:
I saw a great deal with Broadway Travel for September, including staying a night in the desert camp, but the date clashed with Mother's 90th Birthday.

Yes I enjoyed it I went with travel talk tours. I loved Petra but Wadi Run was my least favourite part of the tour

Hope it's fine to jump in this, been quoted what seems a good price for Afandou in Rhodes Greece, at the blue sea holiday village, have never been out to Greece before so no idea what it's like

Trying to see anything on yt about it but everything seems to focus on the old town which I think is around a hour bus ride from where we'd be, so we are trying to find out what's around close by aside from the beach

If anyone's been I'd love to hear what it's like
