It's probably just IBS but I just wanted the referral to make sure all my bloods and other tests at the GP were normal so they weren't really bothered about referring anyway. Did it increase the price a lot?
If that's a known, managed and declared condition, I doubt it'll be an issue.
For MrLily, it was just a referral for an eye issue. Just before my last renewal I'd had a Dr's appointment and waiting on test results. I had to add that and then phone up to confirm I'm menopausal. No price change.
The only time I've had an issue was when waiting for an operation to remove a large ovarian cyst, Tesco flatly refused to insure me. I think, as there was a possibility of it exploding and I'd then have needed an emergency helicopter evacuation from the ship, which is very, very expensive, especially in the USA & Caribbean they weren't keen.

The doctor just said it was probably that years ago but never had any tests so I've always put it as a pre-existing condition as it would be on my history. But finally got fed up of it last year so wanted to get some tests to make sure they were all normal so he offered referral I said yes but wish I'd just not now especially as since it's been better. I'm not going till may so I'm hoping I'll be seen by then and can just put it as a pre-existing issue

The countdown is on for the first trip of the year - Thailand on Friday. It’s absolutely freezing here in Northern Ireland so that’s making me even more excited for some heat!

Awesome!!!

Three months today, and I'll be skiing in France. Actually, to this minute I'll be just arriving in the train station, and hopefully skiing within 30 minutes.

Just booked Tokyo for October and I’ve just made the mistake of reading about the tensions between China and Taiwan. Now I’m shitting myself it will kick off and Japan will get involved and it gets cancelled 🙈😂 I really need to make it a New Year’s resolution to not over worry about things! 🙈

China / Taiwan tensions are fairly constant, historically, Japan aren't keen to get involved.
It's hard to ignore these things, though, isn't it. I'm currently trying to ignore the Trump posturing in South America, after the weekends Venezuela shenanigans, he's also wanting involved in Columbia, Panama and the Canal....my April destinations 🙈

Tokyo is absolutely amazing, we had a fantastic time there.
And two weeks from now, some winter sun in Gran Canaria, assuming that all is okay with my biopsy appointment on Wednesday.

Yep, we're off to Brazil in August. I've not checked to see if there's any beef there.

Good-o. Never know with him, though. I didn't realise he had an issue with half of the S. American countries mentioned. That said, he's generally got an issue with everyone.

Don't worry too much. We went to Latvia a few years ago. A couple of weeks before we went, the Ukraine war started. Given Latvias proximity to Russia (their shared border is pretty much equidistant from both Moscow and St. Petersburg), and the instability of Putin, we weren't sure if he was just going to start a land grab across all borders. Of course nothing of the sort happened. China and Taiwan have been squabbling for years, you'll be fine heading to Japan.

Has anyone been to Cambrils in Spain? Would you recommend it? We’re looking for a break in August and like a nice sandy beach with bars restaurants etc but not full of Brits and a rowdy atmosphere. Cambrils seems to have a nice marina and isn’t far from the airport.

Does anyone have recommendations for an all inclusive which has a lot of vegetarian options? My friend who I'll go with is vegetarian but quite fussy. In Europe. All the ones I found are every expensive
