Has anyone got solar power @home?

To be honest not something considered but watched a video although was US one.
Where family house had off drug solar power and backup economy generator but also option of on grid and was selling energy to the energy companies.
Sounds like initial cost installation probably high but over the years did it reduce your energy bills and produce most of your energy needs?

We have replace boiler in a few years so interesting see what's available.
Our energy bills keep rising.

The government removed subsidies from the industry just as it was beginning to really flourish. They also cut feedback tariffs to the bone. Essentially killing the industry. Avoid!

We have solar power but don’t currently sell anything back. We are running a sizeable smart house plus gym and two workshops off of it.
