This is super nitpicky, if she were buying everything new people would be like "so wasteful, babies grow out of things, they piss and tit in them, why not get second hand" and then she gets second hand and you're like "shes stealing precious second hand resources from more needy people."

Also, I suspect she probably is doing it for sustainability reasons too, she buys, and has for a while, quite a lot second hand for herself so makes sense she would extend that.

I really think that donated/second hand stuff (which are not available in abundance) should be left for people who cannot afford buying everything new. Plus I would respect her more if she did it out of sustainability concerns. Now she just does it because it is cheaper unless a new thing is gifted to her.
As somebody who works in charity retail. There is no shortage of secondhand clothing for people. I think it's a good thing she is buying secondhand. It's better for the planet!

And also good for her to mention it to get people to think about if it will work for them!

She packed four nappies for a newborn, what a cheap ass she is. In general, the what I take in my hospital bag screams "Im cheap and I want to save on anything". She has new stuff only when her family buys them for her and the rest is second hand. I point out this paradox only to show that she does not do it out of sustainability concerns
Not sure if its the same in the UK, but in Canada my sister was told to take all the hospital newborn baby supplies (diapers, wipes, etc) in her room before she left by the nurses. She said while she had a pack diapers in her labour bag they only used the hospital supplies.

Babies are expensive, doesn't hurt to save when you can.

🤣 the NHS don’t even provide us with a room, let alone supplies. We have to bring everything with us.

So, I'm agender but there's something that really ducks me off when people say "we are finding out our babys gentials" like ok great good for you, loads of people don't find out what they're having before it's born - but it's the smugness of it especially the whole genitals bit, I think saying "finding out the genitals" is such a bloody crass way of saying "we don't mind what the bab comes out with"
Also, there's nothing wrong with wanting/not wanting to find out, I think massive gender reveals are tacky af but ngl if i was pregnant I'd end up freaking out over not knowing.
TW CHILD LOSS

I search HW name in tattle after this whole ‘genital’ thing got under my skin a bit. Coming from someone who was trying to conceive for longer than they thought they might have to,
and actually had appointments set up for help with conceiving. I found all this ‘finding out the genitals’ malarkey contrived and stuck up. Fair enough she hasn’t (to our knowledge) had any losses, but many women who have been through that heartache, use finding out the sex as a way to bond with baby before they arrive (and in many circumstances it’s through fear that they won’t arrive and they won’t have any positive thoughts of that pregnancy)… sorry I’m definitely rambling now but the more she goes on about it, the more it looks to me as just trying to look ‘woke’ because she does ‘sex talk’ on the internet and has to be in the same level of other creators 😒

This is a weird justification of your annoyance at the genitals thing, she's not telling anyone (much less people struggling to conceive or who have lost children) that they can't find out the sex of their baby, just that she isn't. You're stretching, just say it annoys you because you both have very different world views.

just watched her "Am I raising my Baby Jewish?" video and found it really interesting! I'm not jewish but I can definitely relate to Hannah embracing the cultural part of her heritage whilst not being religious. However what I found a bit odd is how she mentioned several times that Dan struggled with that idea?? I don't get why it would be so difficult for him to understand that honestly, it's not that hard?? sooo many people celebrate Christmas even though they're not religious?

I think I understand what Dan means, I have a friend who is Jewish by culture but is not religious and unless you’ve met someone like that before it’s a bit more difficult to wrap your head round and it’s a bit more intense then the Christian example of that makes sense, once they get going, Dan won’t be bothered

I really want to watch this video, but ironically it’s a Jewish holiday today (end of Passover) and we don’t watch any TV 🤣

Sometimes I wish my family was just culturally Jewish and not religiously. There are advantages to both.

But for how long are Hannah and Dan a couple? There was a long time for him to get his head around it. I also found this remark portraying him a bit close minded and stubborn.

He's also an atheist and still celebrates Christmas (which is obviously more ingrained in British culture than any Jewish holiday, but still), so it's not hard to understand? Also the fact that Hannah wants to raise their child culturally Jewish as a way of keeping them connected with their heritage, it's a bit weird to be put off by that

i think they have been together around 8 yrs.. tbh this kind of thing doesnt become an issue until you do something like have kids,, otherwise its you believe what you do and I will do me

I'm a worrier/planner so wouldn't get to the having kids bit of a relationship without having decided on things like religion (culturally or otherwise ). But I know that it isn't really an issue (until it is) for lots of people.

I’ve just noticed she hasn’t posted anything on Instagram for about 3 days. I wonder if she’s gone into labour/ had the baby?
