I’m not too sure about the chunky brown belt. I’m always torn between respecting her for wearing what she wants to wear and not blindly following fashions and thinking she looks a bit frumpy

Oof, have you read that Substack newsletter about her being jealous of Dan because he is away for a week to snowboard while she's home with the toddler. I don't get men who don't prioritise their young family and women who pretend to be okay with it while actually not being okay with it.

"I'm happy Dan is able to get away, he absolutly deserves a break from parenting and work." LOL

I hope she’s banking this up in exchange for her own week soon

A WEEK AWAY SNOWBOARDING.

My husband went away for 36 hours to a bar mitzvah in London and I was crawling the walls with a toddler o_O

I don’t know their relationship dynamic but it seems Dan can do as he likes - I don’t recall a time where she was away from Rowan from an extended period. I understand it’s hard with breastfeeding but surely if he’s only doing it for comfort at this point it’ll be easier for her to go away
(Not saying she has to if she doesn’t want to but if she’s publicly stating she’s jealous of him she clearly wants to do the same)

I hope for her sake she also goes away somewhere and leaves him with the baby

She said in the newsletter they haven't night weaned him yet as it's "easier to keep doing what they're doing". Easier?! when she's not had an uninterrupted sleep for 2 years and can't go away for more than a few hours?

I know this isn't the thread for it but the push for really extended breastfeeding seems to be such a step backward in terms of women being able to share the burden of childrearing...

I saw a comment online the other day that said ‘I’d probably want children if I could be a dad and not a mum’ and WOW does that resonate with this.

so Dan sleeps alone in a bed whilst Hannah is on the floor with the baby, he goes away for a week and leaves her with the baby, never woke in the night, seeming plays video games constantly...
what exactly does he do? their dynamic feels very old fashioned

She's really attached to breastfeeding, and also it seems she uses it to get him to sleep. So Dan can't really do that 😂

I get the feeling it doesn't bother her, otherwise she'd surely be getting Dan to help with settling at night.

I don't know why they couldn't put a small bed in Rowan's room though and she can just sleep and breastfeed all night on an actual bed. She is looking hella rough recently, I know parents don't get a full nights sleep for years but a lot get breaks/weekends or babysitters so they get the odd nights sleep. Or Dad takes the baby one night. Doing it all the time has obviously taken its toll.

Is there a reason she isn’t weaning him so she can actually get some sleep?? I don’t get this trend with breastfeeding well into them being toddlers, you’re making life harder for yourself

Seems like she doesn't want to stop and likes the bonding from what I've read/heard of her experience.

she'll have to stop soon if she wants to get pregnant again, that won't happen if they're sleeping in separate rooms!

Pretty sure that he's got a huge floor bed so they can both sleep in there
She has said a few times about "sleeping on the floor", though so I assumed it was next to him. I guess a floor bed is sleeping on the floor but her wording makes it sound like a much bigger sacrifice 🙄

Everyone parents differently I suppose but if she prefera doing it I don't really see the point in mildly passive aggressively mentioning how much she does and how little her husband does in comparison. Whether she means to or not it comes across as such sometimes IMO. Even if she says she is happy about it.
