God I hate to ask this and sound so painfully ignorant but I am so curious. Is Hannah actually a practising Jew? Or does she like to identify as one because it's quite unique to be a British Jew

Unique to be a British jew?! Is it? I mean I am in London so maybe it is different but...
I believe her parents (at least her mum) are practising and she considers herself an atheist or agnostic Jew. I think she’s spoken more recently about it but that makes sense as a) she has a child now and is probably thinking about cultural heritage more and b) given the antisemitism that is currently very on display (see Kanye; Corbin etc) many Jews feel they need to be more visible rather than less.
I only have some Jewish family members so if anyone wants to correct me then of course no worries.
The UK actually has the 5th largest Jewish population in the world and second largest in Europe
so in that respect no. But only ~0.4% of the British population is Jewish. So both?

Yeah, Hannah's mother is Jewish, but she was open in person that she wasn't practising. She was open about loving bacon, for example.
She mentioned in a video while she was pregnant, that her and Dan talk and think about practicing Jewish traditions, to make Rowan aware of his Jewish heritage. Not from a faithful POV though.
a lot of people practice religion without it being focused on faith. like the majority of british people still celebrate christian holidays even though they're not christian, so don't think it is weird that hannah focuses on jewish tradition.

I'm shocked it was so easy to get her German citizenship. My dad was born in German (accidentally) as his parents had already moved to Canada years prior. But my grandmother ended up visiting family and stayed until 6 months after my dad was born. Even though he was born there and has his original german birth certificate/proof that my grandmother was German, they refused his citizenship. As a Canadian it would make traveling and working so much easier, but alas I guess it was not meant to be.
In Germany you can apply for citizenship if your ancestors had their citizenship taken away under Nazi rule on political, racial or religious grounds between 1933 and 1945. I know someone else who applied this way who's grandparents were German Jews. I'm guessing this applies to Hannah too.
Yes it's the same in Austria too.
So I realise Hannah has IBD and that's part of it, but I wouldn't necessarily pay her to promote a skin care brand... (which she is doing on her latest More Hannah video)

It also should have said AD in the title or thumbnail. If I'd known then I wouldn't have clicked on it. By waiting until 3 minutes into the video before disclosing that the video is sponsored this also means the views up to that point will all count. Also, I've never heard Hannah talk about Lazy Oaf before considering that they're a brand she apparently loves.
I've noticed a lot more companies are doing sponsored content rather than straight ads which require less labelling. The person getting paid has full editorial rights, doesn't have to post at a specific time and don't have to include a script from the company. Supposed to be more natural but imo is even more disingenuous than just posting an ad!
