It's my first day on here, and the UI and UX are a million miles better than GG.

Guru gossip has been super slow and badly managed for years, and I remember them censoring any mention of other gossip sites. The mods there are also really power hungry and ban or delete comments depending on their mood. At the same time, they'll ignore trolls and other irrelevant comments if they don't care or agree with the troll. The website has also been the target of many hackers so it often went offline. Tattle is superior in every way.

Whoever the person was that messaged everyone on the Zoe and Tamys threads telling them to come to Tattle really pulled off a coup. I’d never had any problems with mods personally but I joined purely because GG was (and still is) SO SLOW. When I saw this forum working at a normal speed made me never go back. I actually logged in the other week for the first time in years and yeh - tattle was the nail in the coffin. Especially when you look at the Zoe threads.

I was on the site at the time and it's definitely real.

There was a real shift in the site after Morgan took it over and was pretending to be Lulu. it only all came out because a mod came clean, if she hadn't the site would probably still be run by "Lulu"

A bit off topic to the current discussion... Do GG and Tattle have a feud or something? I went on there out of nosiness a week ago and found one of my posts where I had referred to Tattle in a passing way ‘...her thread on tattle is more active than it is here’. But when I checked it, they had censored the word ‘tattle’ and put ‘BANNED’ in its place. I found it very odd, as I hadn’t heard of tattle being particularly inflammatory toward GG or vice versa.

(not that I particularly care, GG is like an ancient relic these days compared to tattle, I’m just nosy)

Guru Gossip was very slow and an awful site to navigate, still is. And Tattle popped up, advertised itself on GG threads, people moved over and GG never recovered and have a chip on their shoulder about this place.

The most that gets said about it here is that it's a dying site.

Thanks for the link here, I hate GG but so many people post there.

I reported GG to google adsense as they are breaking the adsense terms with all the adverts on non content pages like login and after posting a thread.

But google don't do anything so if more people could report here https://support.google.com/adsense/contact/violation_report

No need to use taptalk for here, the site on a mobile browser works great and has less adverts than taptalk and way more features. I'd advise against using Tapatalk.

Your statement will confirm what I said about Morgan making users mods, accessing their IPs and the blocking their accounts.

This sounds eerily familiar. I got messaged on another platform from someone who got messaged by him on GG asking if they would like to be a mod. They were flattered and said yes. They were banned from GG pretty quickly after. They had no idea why.

They warned me if he came asking not to accept. I told them there's no way I'd accept unless the offer came with a cut of the AdSense. Like I'd put up with his bullshit for free

I've been IP blocked today. I don't have an account but would browse a couple of topics now and then as a guest. What a stupid and frustrating site it is! How do the dickheads running it make money if people cannot look?

None of the things Morgan does make sense. Why on earth would you ban the IP address of someone who doesn't even have an account on the website?

It was Latoya Forever. She didn’t sue them she just sent a cease and desist to the host of the website because GG was using her name which she has trademarked. Morgan never responded so the host shut the website down for a day or something. I guess it’s been dealt with by now

I've been PM'ing people and accidentally PM'ed the admin of GG , she sent a odd reply "oh you sad fuck can't make your own content, so are stealing ours"

Doesn't make any sense as I'm not stealing content, people write the content not the thick owners of that site. Steeling users maybe, but only because they are awful at running a site.

The tech guy basically stole the site when Lulu died, the amount of annoying ads they show he must be making a fortune.

Edit no it's offline, but a page shows to say it's offline so that's why it shows as still online if you check

He really doesn't give a fuck about the users, it's really disrespectful. Really complacent that people will just keep taking it. It's not hard to keep it running fast or restore the likes but he wants to make as much money as possible and is lazy and incompetent.

Hopefully we get more people over here and more interaction. Would be good to just get the Tanya thread active over here!

Yes, you're right, Yel! He really dgaf. It's such a stark difference from Tattle. You guys seem to genuinely care about our opinions, listen to constructive criticism and look into ways to improve the website while keeping everybody happy! Voilà, when I try to go on GG.
And I also feel the lack of interactions.
Like,someone post something and after another post something and on and on... Sometimes posting the exact idea in the post without including “oh yeah I agree”.
I don’t know it’s not friendly.
On the contrary, here you can speak freely and people actually enjoying what you say or what you share.
I’m a lonely person (on purpose) so speaking to different people with very different backgrounds is really refreshing and instructive.
