Is Harvey (?) Jonathan Ross' son the same comatose person we saw last week, now jumping up and down on the sofa?

that “cleaning up” show was the best part of the episode for me 🤣 the way they were so blown away by a shoe rack! best episode for a while - apart from the news stuff.

maeva makes me want to watch made in chelsea. she cannot be a real person.
Haha. Well I don't like Made in Chelsea, but live with someone who's watched it right from the beginning. I'm not sure how much of her personality is for the cameras, but can confirm that onscreen Maeva is always that angry. 😆

Guess I’m in the minority as I thought this weeks was really funny, although I do agree about the random pairings.

Might be because I had a similar argument with my husband as DVO & Eddie as my husband also leaving me to watch the football on my own tonight. Also their reactions to Handmaid’s Tale was same as mine, that episode was brutal!

I saw on TikTok the other day that Pete, Sophie and (I assume) the rest of their family (could’ve been actors though) were on a talk talk advert before they were on gogglebox.
I guess that’s what happens when you’re related to the Chuckle Brothers! 😂

He's done superb to go from nearly dying to being out and about lifting bags of shopping in just two months. SuperMan.
Great to see. ♥♥

I've never liked Pete and his sister. They try too hard to be funny. Also can't stand Ellie and her sister. All the others I can bear, just.

Me too, like a lot of these 'reality' shows eg. Love Island, Towie etc, they seem to push for more and more series because of how successful they were in the beginning. But so much changes during the first few series that the producers have more and more input.

For example, in the early years of Love Island, everyone was 'themselves' but as the years have gone on, it's become all about what brand deals they can get and they stop being themselves and become someone they think they should be. Therefore all these shows become boring because everyone is a clone of each other and are scared to do or say anything wrong in case it scuppers their chances of becoming a successful influencer.
Spot on x

The pregnant one worried me a bit when she said she's only just feeling kicks? If she is due in July she is over 30 weeks....
From the dopey way she said it, it was like it was news to her that she has a baby inside her.
Didn't she say the boyfriend/ partner told her it was the baby kicking. 🙄 I hope his IQ is a bit higher.

Tom Jones’ real laugh last night was hilarious. It’s usually just a put on couple of hahas but that last night was great. Loved it. I can’t stand whitmore 🤦🏼‍♀️. My partner was shocked to see Mel C’s brother. He’s followed him for years without realising they were related. He’s a motor racing commentator apparently

I really hate the way they mess with Gogglebox for SUTC.

If it's designed to get people to watch the whole evening so they can catch snippets of Gogglebox they're sadly mistaken. I either record and fast forward or don't bother because the show is so disjointed. They're much better off just showing a proper hour of the show as normal.
I wish they’d have recorded the whole hour and then put it online to download to watch the whole thing as well as showing the snippets of it on the SUTC evening. I feel like the whole thing this year was quite boring though, the whole 1 out of 2 thing was a bit crap too, nothing was overly exciting for a charity show like it normally is.

I don't watch it religiously but will sometimes catch an episode
The other part of the issue, imo, is that streaming services have been included and it lowkey seems a bit like an advert for their specific series. Anyway, if I don't pay for the service I have no interest in seeing someone's reaction. Part of the fun with Gogglebox was that you usually had access to all the shows they reacted to (unless they were on Sky etc)

Also, a lot of it just feels scripted these days
This!!!!! I don't really have much time for Gogglebox lately. I did used to enjoy watching it. But I think as you said it feels scripted these days, less authentic which is a shame. Some of them ham it up too much now.
