Long hours? It's sat on your ass watching TV and overreacting to make 'better tv' compared to how you usually watch TV.

Restrictiveness has been known since day one. The point of the show is they are normal people just like the viewer at home. We don't want to see people on Gogglebox on a load of different things. That's why people have to leave to do other stuff.

Seems like sour grapes for not getting a NTA invite.

Yes Brummie, she was just saying she’s against the vaccine but she was being a little passive aggressive… she didn’t really do much wrong but tv producers don’t like their “stars” being too outspoken sometimes do they oh and she did “name and shame” a few that had messaged her, not even just abuse just saying she’s spreading mis information and being irresponsible, then she got a bit narky over the messages.

I think the one time I laughed last week was with Eamonn and Ruth.

Every single time Lorraine reviews the weekend TV on a Friday, she has a big pic of her and daughter Rosie on Googlebox.
Trying soooo hard to push Rosie into a career in TV.
Rosie has the personality of an gnat, sorry if that sounds cruel; but it is true.
& how Lorraine has remained on TV all these years, is truly beyond me!
Other celebs doing the same with their relatives.

Bin Celeb Googlebox and bring back the usual one. It is so boring.

I am giving up watching Googlebox, until the day to day people come back on.

Ruth and Eamon also made me laugh out loud and the comment by Mel C's brother about the Spice girls was funny but other than that I am like you, finding it boring. Maureen Lipman seems like she has had enough of it and she had some rather funny comments when she started doing it but now it feels like she would rather be doing the ironing.
Lorraine is so not going to make her daughter "happen" is she?
I stopped watching the usual one when the posh couple finished and the lovely old guy died (forgotten their names) but am giving up on the Celeb one as well.

One of the most glaring things this week was The Apprentice. If they watched the whole episode rather than a highlights package they wouldn't have been so shocked by the label being called out as reading 'dies' in the Ocado meeting because Karen immediately flagged it when they still creating the label, a good ten minutes earlier.

Absolutely, the scripting of the reactions is becoming more obvious and in particular when they have clearly said to one person ‘can you read this quick recap?’ for exposition on what’s happened which they then do in the least natural way possible. See also the cringey clips of them all pointing the remotes at the TV… Giles does it like he’s never used one in his life

Glad I'm not the only one to have noticed this. Daniel always seems to be sweet towards Stephen, so it's sad that he rarely seems to reciprocate the kindness. Of course, we don't have the full picture and their offscreen relationship might be great (some people just have an abrasive sense of humour) but it doesn't come across on TV. Worth noting that his ex-bf/former Gogglebox co-star, Chris, said as much when he left the show.

agreed. in particular, the moment a few weeks ago where he implied that his mother had made snide comments about daniel ordering (i think) champagne when they were out for brunch was particularly nasty. i also feel like he can't take it when daniel, rarely, tries to tease him back.

Jeremy Vine used to be a serious journalist, he fronted Newsnight. His colleague Jeremy Paxman seemed to hate him, he thought he was a twerp. But now I see what Paxo meant. Vine just wants to be on everything, he is such a whore for exposure. I used to follow him on Twitter but had to stop, some of the attention seeking on there was toe curlingly awful. People say that Richard Madely is Alan Partridge, but I think Vine is more like AP than Richard M. There is no way he knew that person was (who were they anyway?) and I am embarrassed for him that he accepted the gig.

This series has not worked. Too many randoms appearing and then not see again. Bez and Shaun are carrying the show. Even the Kemps have been lacklustre. Roll on the non-Celeb version.
