Had a stroke on a flight to KL on 3/7. Travelling with his doctor wife and 2 daughters 16 & 18.
Had previous stroke March 25 and spent 2 months in hospital. Had clearance to fly.
Not clear if they had insurance but it’s doubtful and possibly wouldn’t have been covered anyway.
Described as a Malaysian living in Newcastle so unsure if he would get free hospital treatment in KL?
GFM to help support the wife and family with

• Urgent living expenses as Noor steps away from work to care for her husband
• Flight tickets and possible repatriation to bring home if needed
• Their daughters’ education costs during this uncertain time

So 3 mths after having a stroke he's on a long haul flight. Insurance wouldn't have insured him unless he took out specialised insurance which they probably didn't

Is it a strangers place to donate to help with the children's studies fees??

Urgent living expenses - they have family in Malaysia
Kids education costs/fees - not relevant
Flight tickets/repatriation - you took the risk to travel so soon after previous stroke.

I just don't get it, and the sooner people cop the fcuk on and stop donating to these ridiculous 'causes' the better. Also GoFundMe should be properly regulated, which it doesn't appear to be.

I did laugh when I saw it's raised £25. There's a huge backstory to this clearly, she's got fibromyalgia, a single parent and yet went away with a Romanian partner on a luxury holiday. Pull the other one love, you got caught.

Agree.....

🙄I can't find a head in hands emoji....

I'm guessing she thought she'd look innocent travelling with her young son..........without thinking how this will have effected him at the time, and in future!
No words................

I just read the article......

So her partner had drugs in his case. Her son had drugs in his case, there is no mention of her having drugs in her case.

Various others were caught with drugs too....

Yet we are meant to believe that she had no idea drugs were in the cases. (All except hers)

Surely if someone else put them in there, they would have put them in her case too.

It seems to me, that she put her allotted share in her sons case, to try and avoid getting caught.....shocking.....and just my thoughts, I obviously am just speculating.....

Justice Abroad are involved and the Home Office, so not sure why the GFM is needed. I'd rather support a GFM for her son to access therapy.

At least they was honest and said she did t take out holiday insurance although as a mother of 2 elder girls it's one of the things I ask if they have done when they have booked it! It's not always about falling ill on holiday if there flights get cancelled or things get stolen it covers that!

So they’re trying to say she honestly believed the people that threatened her & her family just decided to send them all on a lovely holiday with no consequences? Yeah right. I think I’d have more respect, if for once, when they get caught, they just came out and said “I know I’ve been stupid the biggest idiot going but I was drawn in by the promise of the luxury holidays and money, which isn’t possible in my 9 to 5 job”. But no. You always get this waffle from them.

As someone who suffers and struggles daily with fibro, she can get ducked for playing that card. Convenient she has picked an illness that can’t be proven by medical testing 🙄

All these people really shouldn't be allowed out of the country without insurance. It's the first thing I book after I've booked the tickets.

This GFM has been set up by family & friends of Rachel Langley/Booth that was found dead at the weekend after going out for a run at 3:30am, bought milk/wine then vanished. They want the money for trust funds for her children and a bit to charity.
What was the situation? Did she fall/ have an accident or end her own life?

I feel these types of GFM are more genuine, than someone forgetting travel insurance then becoming ill or getting hurt abroad.

But you're right that we still don't know much of the detail. It says they will donate a portion to charity, but that is vague as usual with these statements.....is that 1% or 99%. There is so much that is open to interpretation with GFMs.
