It's one thing using a ladder in celeb versions (as long as the celeb doesn't act like they've won when they shouldn't have. Yes, we're looking right at you, Vogue) but I don't think they should use them in the regular show. What if she had 'won'? She'd have gone through when someone more able than her didn't. They should just set a time limit after the winner has finished and if she couldn't do it in the time, just end the event.

I did want Nikki to win simply because Helena kept sticking her tongue out every time the camera was on her
Then personally I think it would have been a brilliant win as she did the rope twice and it was only on the third attempt she used the ladder. She also landed really low down on the cargo net and still caught up.
I felt sorry for Nikki. It was awful seeing her fall twice, she hit her back against the podium on the way down as well.
I don't know why they didn't restart the eliminatior after both sets had a poor start. However the contestants had done so poorly in the heats, maybe the crew just couldn't be arsed anymore at that point and just let it play out.
The contestants have to go through a selection process and get to do a few days of training on the games before the show starts. They don't put people on the show who have no chance at being able to play the games properly.
It was just horrible luck that all 4 managed to have a bad time on most of the events. It is a long and tiring filming day, and i think that if you really mess up on a game it probably hard to get yourself back in the head space you need for the games.

The ladder was for the monkey bars because each time she jumped to grab them she fell, so she missed out that entire section.
All 4 if them were terrible. I wonder if they put them together on purpose as otherwise a normal decent contender would win by a landslide.

Jesus that was a wild eliminator. Felt so sorry for Nikki - not only for falling but for clearly hitting her back. I think both were just very short and clearly found it difficult. Not that the men were much better!
I’ve finally watched Saturdays ep. I kinda liked how rubbish they all were. They almost felt like normal people

Legend makes it for me 
Legend is probably my favourite Gladiator ever. Especially in the reboot as there are a lot of very bland gladiators in there!
Both eliminators were wild 
what with the contender stopping on the second whistle, shoes falling off and poor Nikki slamming her back against the podium twice 
then all the comedy falls on the travelator - it was hilarious!

Me too - he has really made the character work, can back it up (usually) with strong performances and definitely makes the show a million times better.
However, I have noticed that the other gladiators are being given more air time with the mic which is not a bad thing. Some of the quieter ones are developing personalities this series
I never wanted a contestant to lose more. Well, except for sticky out tongue man from last year.
We saw Helena's quarter final... I wasn't keen on her and I can't figure out why. We couldn't see the tongue sticky out thing but if we could, that might have been the reason
I love Legend and Cyclone. I can't stick Sabre.
