Have the Gladiators not been training and practicing this time around? Outside of Fury, Dynamite and Legend, all the rest seem to be really struggling with the games. I used to really like Sabre, but the way she lets contestants just get easy points on The Edge whilst she parades around is infuriating. Maybe they've spent too much time on their social media this time around.
I do find sabre purring mid game odd. I get it at the start before the whistle but not mid game….her hair so heavily flicked over to one side I hate…lovely curly hair but to much flicked over imo
I have found this series a bit, scripted? Fake? something feels a bit off. The panto element seems to have been upped, but also it feels like gladiators are letting contestants get away with stuff, or the opposite and creating rivalries and storylines

it was on the edge that Sabre injured herself last season, so I can see why she wasn’t going all out this time, probably subconsciously.
That's a fair point. But seeing her strut into the middle, doing her little pose whilst the contestant just runs round to grab easy points is unfair to the other player who will have a different Gladiator facing them.
They always let them get across at the beginning of edge, this season. It gives the gladiator time to position themselves in the middle to catch them on their way back. It's a good strategy as they usually get them earlier by doing that. Last season they'd chase them right from the beginning and miss each time.

My friend and myself have been re watching series 1 alongside the new series. I have to say that aside from a couple of episodes I prefer series 1 as there was less panto aspect to it.
I wonder what the audition process for contestants is. Is it just interviews or do they do fitness tests?

Unsure if this has been discussed but does anyone know the deal with Viper - Quang Luong, whose DOB on Wikipedia is 1989 but he apparently played a gangster in Die Another Day in 2002 . So was he 13 in the film?
It doesn’t mention him appearing in Die Another Day on either his Wikipedia or on IMDB but it does mention on the website linked below that he appeared as a soldier in a James Bond film (but it doesn’t say which one) “…he's often been cast in films in powerful roles, even appearing in a James Bond film as a soldier”.
