You have to hope that the loser in that one gets through as fastest runner up. So unfair otherwise as that was milliseconds. The Gladiators were really poor in that episodebut the excitement of the women’s eliminator made up for it!!

Ooh and adding to this does anyone know if they film in the order we see it?We were wondering last night how it's filmed. Do they film multiple episodes all in one go so that they can leave the equipment up for longer, and just use different Gladiators or do they really dismantle everything after the two male and two female contestants have done their events and carry on with the same episode? Any info from people who've been to filming is welcome![]()
Thank you, I'll check this out! There’s a short video about it on BAFTA’s instagram actually
We saw the filming of the 1st quarter final in the summer. One episode that day- started filming about 11.30 and finished about 21:45. Every event was dismantled between each game. The crew are total pros and it is fascinating how quick and seamless it seems. A lot of filming is done by drone too.We were wondering last night how it's filmed. Maybe they don’t want people leaving before filming finishes, so they choose ’locals’The eliminator takes an hour to set up! It is a lot of waiting around for a filming day!
The crowd shots can be edited in to any episode, I had a friend who went last series so filmed 2024 and her and the family could be seen in 3 or 4 episodes.
We apply every year for filming tickets but have never got lucky in the ballot. It seems the nearer you live to Sheffield, the luckier you get!

They did that a lot in the Sky version too. In the new upcoming American Gladiators series, it was filmed in France and they paid the audience to stay for filming when it got late in the day.Local eliminators for local people
eta - good point though.
I heard they move people down from the upper tier to fill any gaps in the lower one as the day goes on and the audience tap out
We were at that filming too! That new game was bizarre, I'm sure it'll come across better on screen than it did in real life! It was absolutely fascinating to see how they put it all together. Despite there being no music/timer the atmosphere was electric in every event, especially the eliminator. Slightly dreading seeing it on telly though as we were sat behind one of the contenders families so our mugs will probably featureWe saw the filming of the 1st quarter final in the summer. Eliminator takes longest to set up but was still fairly quick.
When the games are being played theres no music and you dont see a timer.
The new game we saw filmed is where a contestant and glad push a perspex wall at each other and after so long the platform they are on tilts.
We're about an hour from Sheffield. We gottickets but the tickets don't guarantee you entry. We got to the arena at about 8am and there was already a massive queue. You queue to exchange your ticket for an entry ticket then go away and come back later when the arena opens for filming.
