This came across my FYP so obviously have to share. It does have James Corden though so apologies in advance...
I'm still disappointed he didn't sing Last Christmas when we saw him in DecemberI have been to see Rob Lamberti recently.
I had never heard of him, until this thread last year, so booked up tickets....
He was amazing!!!
It is uncanny quite how much he looks and sounds like George.
I really enjoyed it, and would highly recommend.
Thank you so much to the person who recommended!
He sort of did it...just held out mike for the audience to sing the words "Last Christmas "I'm still disappointed he didn't sing Last Christmas when we saw him in December![]()

That's beautifulMy beautiful best friend died from cancer in October 2014. She had bravely battled cancer for a number of years and she was on 42 when she passed. She was the biggest George fan on the planet and Careless Whisper was her favourite song. A couple of months before she died she wrote to George because her dying wish was to sing with him (she was in a band). She knew she was asking the impossible. Weeks after she died a letter arrived at her home and her husband opened it, it was a letter from no other than George! He declined but he told her words to the effect of to keep singing and keep going. She would have been elated if she'd been alive to see it. At her funeral her band, led by her husband sang an acoustic version of Carless Whisper with harp, guitar and violin. It was so beautiful. Everyone in the church joined in. It was an incredible moment. I can't listen to George without thinking of them both.![]()
Seeing that show again in JulyI’ve seen the fast love one but he doesn’t really look like George!![]()

I’ve seen it twiceSeeing that show again in July
Bumping this because his voice truly is heaven on a plate. It's probably because I'm past the blob's visit but this rendition always gets to me every time. Of course this entire Unplugged is immense but just George's take on such a song. Oof.
Find a Grave says that his mother Lesley and sister Melanie are located at Section 52095 - square 35, which is also where he is. This is in the western part of the cemetery. The latitude and longitude are 51°34'02.6"N 0°08'55.5"W.I'm going to Highgate cemetery tomorrow to pay my respects. I hope I can find him. There's thousands of graves![]()
Thank you. I'm doing the tour so hopefully I'll be ok, although I'm hearing the tour won't include George.Find a Grave says that his mother Lesley and sister Melanie are located at Section 52095 - square 35, which is also where he is. I've never been, but from what I've heard in videos/online his grave isn't included on the tour due to the family's request. However, that area has been open to the public for at least three years now if you get the chance to go over there on your own. The area used to be a private part of the cemetery, but that changed more recently.Thank you. I'm doing the tour so hopefully I'll be ok, although I'm hearing the tour won't include George.
