He was so so generous, how many other music legends do you hear about being so giving and kind to so many people? Barely any. George was a true gentleman.

I didn't think he was too bad, he came across ok, we all know he has been a bit of a twat previously, shame his persona sometimes outshines his talent, I'll never forget that outfit he wore to the Brits (I think) the blow up black monstrosity . Loved Sat night though, George on TOTP singing Club Tropicana with shorts and open shirt, gorgeous man. I make my husband and daughter raise a glass to George every Christmas Day, bless them they go along with it as well

I do the same minus the daughter (childless!) - always have to remember Gorgeous George.

This is news - sad, but lovely. I wonder how George would have reacted to the celebration of 40 years - the documentary too? What a legacy he left behind.

Finally watched the doc. Absolutely loved it (although was baffled by the utterly pointless addition of Sam Sam). Seeing all the video cast together without George was so poignant.

George Michael and Caroline Aherne are the two celebs I miss most - very sadly missed, and both gone far too early.
