Stunning film. The ice skating scene and praying for time took my breath away.
Loved the programmes tonight on Wham amd GM.
I'm sure Shirlie is a lovely person, but she annoyed me tonight by talking over Pepsi a lot.
She got lucky due to her friendship with GM as she was a crap dancer

I thought it was me last night thinking that Shirlie was a bit "me me me". When Pepsi said about learning the dance moves when she took over from Dee C, Shirlie was "they wasn't difficult".. Just seemed a bit off.
Watched the documentary last night. It made me cry. George was such a lovely, talented bloke and so good to his friends.
I can’t take to Shirlie at all. I think she comes across as very “me,me,me”
As you say, she got lucky that GM happened to be good to his friends.
Can't stand her or her smarmy husband and son they all need to duck off

I was looking for comments about Shirlie because I saw a little bit of The One Show, and even the small bit I saw, it felt like she was answering everything

i went to see Wham as a 17yr old in 1983 in Manchester. It was love at first sight.
more recently, I went to George’s grave ( I have a thing about all graveyards
) and I was stood talking to him with my hand on my chest saying’ oh gorgeous Georgeous’ out loud and a passing woman patted me on the arm and said ‘ so sorry for your loss’. I thanked her and looked over at my husband walking away muttering Ffs to himself.

Finally watched the Last Christmas programme, had to wait until the other half was upstairs playing on his Xbox. Enjoyed it but agree with everyone about Shirley, just so smug and very pick me vibes, although I do like Pepsi and believe she is a better singer than Dee C Lee.
Got very choked up towards the end with the home videos and Last Christmas getting to Number 1 after 39 years.

Ah it was a hard watch. Blubbed at the end. Get tissues ready before you watch it! I’d love to visit where they filmed it!

Loved the documentary and did get quite upset thinking of our gorgeous George.
Royalties to this day are still given from Last Christmas to the Band Aid Charity.

I can take or leave him, I didn't think he gave much to the documentry. Enjoyed seeing Mary J Blige and hearing her sing Last Christmas too.Sam Smith though.
I watched the making of Band Aid after this and when you see George practicing his part, he nails it straight away and amends it to something better! Some of the rest of them sounded shocking live
