It's Rob Lamberti night
We got here before the doors opened so now sat right at the front. Just 2 more hours until he starts 🫤

Honest review of Rob tonight. Came on at 9.30, did the standard songs. Didn't change for Outside as he usually does. Finished a shade after 10.30pm, no encore, no Last Christmas, no Band Aid, nothing. Just went !
To say we were disappointed is an understatement.

Have a look at Shirley Hollimans Instagram, she’s posted about them going back to the ski lodge , looks amazing but what a gaping hole there is where George would have been .

That's why I don't know if the Last Christmas documentary will be an easy watch. I love the song but when I see the video, it feels very bittersweet.

So lovely to have found a George thread . I did cry when he died and I'm not usually one of these weep and wail at dead celebs I don't know people. He was the soundtrack to most of my life.

It was my child’s School Christmas Disco this evening and the final song of the night was Last Christmas and every child in the room sung it word for word.

The oldest children there were born a little over a year before he sadly left us far too soon so it was a beautiful reminder his music is still so loved

I was kind of watching an interview with Pepsi and Shirlie on the telly this week. Think they were talking about the programme being broadcast mentioned upthread, where they go back to the village where Last Christmas was filmed. Talked about their relationship with the villagers and the filming and how George acted.
Shirlie mentioned she'd consulted a medium who'd told her George would be at the filming, and she said he was and played some pranks on them. You could tell they really loved George.
Here it is:

My four year old loves singing last Christmas and knows all the words. It’s nice to know decent music carries on

Seasons Greetings Lovelies

Wishing you peace and joy, wherever you are.

I have just watched Wham: Last Christmas - loved it. So many memories, some sad for me but many happy ones too.

I didn't know they had given the royalties from Last Christmas to Band Aid too ....

I didn't think I could have loved them any more than I do, but I'm going to bed with a big smile in my heart tonight.

Peace to you All that read here.

What a lovely post . I feel you. Bittersweet thinking of George at Christmas. He was the soundtrack to my youth like many of us on here. Still have so much love for him and his music. Merry Christmas to you too and wishing you all health and happiness xx

Thank you Rocket Queen - I feel the same too I remember my ex-husband buying me Last Christmas - where we were, what else we were buying (I can barely remember last week now ). So many memories wrapped up in Wham and George's music - I'm so Thankful for what they and George alone gave us.

It's so very sad that he isn't here to see what he has given - the legacy lives on.

Best wishes and hugs. xx
