I absolutely agree, but she has a point about some flags being acceptable and others not. Organisations have dug themselves into a hole by favouring some groups over others and that the fact they couldn't foresee these problems is just mind boggling.
Yes, on this basis she probably has a good case, particularly now that Palestine has been recognised by the UK as a sovereign state.

“I was informed that while rainbow lanyards and other historically permitted symbols such as the Ukraine flag were fine, a Palestine pin was unacceptable,” she explains on her Crowdjustice page, set up to help fund her legal fees.

As @Ilovemusic says, the NHS should never have become a place where staff are openly permitted to signal their personal beliefs. When I worked for them, everybody wore the standard blue NHS lanyard and people wearing ideological badges would have been asked to remove them for being unprofessional.

Anyone celebrating men waving dildos in spaces where there are kids is just a sick fuck and should be nowhere near children.

I meant if she travelled to the States, sorry, should've clarified that.
I remember her having tomato soup chucked on her in NZ.
Anyone at these pro Trans marches with placards and banners along the lines of:

'Hang a TERF'
'Death to TERFs'
'The only good TERF is a dead TERF'

Now need arresting and charged with an offence.

That is not free speech at all. It is threatening behaviour.

They are clearly advocating harm to those who don't agree with them.

I certainly don't see similar rhetoric coming from the 'TERF' side, who are far more composed in their arguments - and certainly don't need to resort to threats of violence to further support for their arguments.

Yes, I have come to the conclusion that Streeting’s apparent about-turn on gender ideology and its infiltration into the NHS is nothing more than lip-service. What has he actually done to address the erasure of language around women’s health? What has he done to ensure that women’s single sex spaces are maintained for staff and patients?

I was looking as his X account earlier and it’s clear where his priorities lie:
View attachment 3713240
View attachment 3713241
View attachment 3713242
View attachment 3713243

ETA his whole timeline going back years is littered with pro trans shite.
"Trans people ,make up around just one per cent of the UK's population but are disproportionately affected by violence etc"

Are they fuck as like!

WOMEN make up 51% of the population. WOMEN are the ones being murdered at the rate of 2-3 a WEEK! (And an estimated 3/week take their own lives because of "domestic abuse".)

WOMEN are the ones beaten to a pulp in 26,000 "domestic violence" incidents each week (I put "domestic violence" in quotation marks because I think we should call ir what ir is - grevious/actual bodily harm, and often attempted murder). And all organisations agree that these figures are grossly under-reported because women are frightened, ashamed of not being able to cope, or have nowhere else to go with their children. (Research by Refuge suggests that less than 24% of domestic abuse crimes are reported to the police.) And can you even begin to imagine how many children are damaged by experiencing this.

WOMEN are the ones being coercively and financially controlled and abused even if not physically threatened.

How many "trans" people are being assaulted - even proportionately? And how many of them are committing abuse, compared to women being violent or coercive? Just protect women and keep these fecking men out of women's spaces. This isn't about men dressing up - it's about WOMEN.
.

On a different note - the first time I've seen Mr Menno close to losing his sh!t!

Just to clarify my comment - I meant that this surgery is absolutely brutal and dangerous and there are people (like that recent surgeon) who have fetishes about getting limbs cut off and that’s not legal so why is mutilating someone’s private parts ok? The limb removal is probably less problematic long term, this is a wound that’s not allowed to heal.
This sort of surgery shouldn't be done on the NHS at all.

This is an article that was in The Independent yesterday talking about American trans people fleeing USA and seeking asylum because of Trump:

It looks at four cases were asylum is being sought in The Netherlands and Canada. The first case is insane as it involves a group of people (five adults and four children) who are in a 'polyamorous blended' family. It's a nuts set-up and good luck to the Dutch for accommodating their craziness.

I feel sorry for the 19 year old TiM who apparently started transitioning ages 10 and had a puberty blocker implanted when he was still a minor. He can no longer access the hormones that he's stuck needing for the rest of his life. Although, when I say I feel sorry for him, I mean that I blame his parents for his current predicament. They allowed a 10 year old to socially transition, then to have puberty blockers, again whilst still a minor, and then kicked him out of home when he was 18. Shocking behaviour and abdication of responsibility from his parents.

The last case just made me angry. This man has been a trans athlete stealing opportunities from women. He says that he feels personally targeted by Trump's orders on sport and clearly has no recognition or understanding that his presence in women's sport is fundamentally unfair. He talks about being scared to use women's changing room and says, with no hint of irony, that his 6ft 3in height makes him vulnerable as he cannot blend in with 'cis people'.

No mate, your height doesn't stop you blending in with women: it's the fact that you are a man that stops you blending in with women. And as for your 'vulnerability'; what about the vulnerability of all those women whose single-sex spaces you have violated with all of your 6ft 3in maleness and body? Not to mention the opportunities that you have stolen from women because of your unfair participation in their sports.

Reading these stories just reinforces how wrong it is for society to indulge these delusions to the detriment of not only the individuals, but also, more importantly, to the people - mainly women - whose rights are impinged by pretending that said delusions are the reality.

I feel that the world is reaching a tipping point. There's so much extremism, polarisation and hate. Something has to give and it's going to be ugly.

Politically, I've always been on the left, but the so-called progressive left is so intolerant right now. We see it with what was posted on here earlier today that the Greens and the Corbyn party both state categorically that if you don't believe that TWAW, then you're not welcome in their party. Why should that be a redline?

And yet, the progressive left always talks about being on the right side of history. History should have taught all of us that the silencing, cancelation and vilification of people with opposing views is exactly what has caused immense harm, including wars, throughout the ages.

As the famous quote goes, 'I disapprove what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.' Sadly, the Left in particular, does not subscribe to this right to free speech.

I'm finding the contortions of people on Twitter who are gloating or celebrating Charlie's death to be absolutely abhorrent. Not only does this murder not in anyway advance their causes, it makes the entire world an unsafer and worse place for us all. They would do well to remember that.

The problem with the GC movement is that people like Charlie Kirk and Hopkins are seen as mouthpieces. They aren't individuals I want to be associated with and it boils my piss that science and logic are being called fascism and akin to a nazi genocide.
I don't think that's true. Most people in the UK had never heard of Charlie Kirk until last week and in the USA it appears his message was much wider than a focus on trans issues. I also don't think that Katie Hopkins is particularly associated with the GC movement: certainly, I never think of her in relation to it. In the UK and much of the world, JK Rowling who is probably the biggest person associated with the GC movement and seen as one of its main protagonists. JK Rowling is as far removed from the likes of Katie Hopkins as anyone could be, yet she is vilified and readily called a fascist, among other patently false things including being accused of wanting to erase all trans people.

The problem isn't the messenger, it's the message. Akin to when Upton said that there was no manner in which Sandie Peggie could have expressed her concern about him being in the changing room that would have been okay, there is no way that anyone can say that sex is binary and immutable that would be acceptable to trans people and their allies.

Trans ideology is anti-science, anti-common sense and full of inherent contradictions. That's why Stonewall et al, fostered the culture of 'no debate': because there is no coherent and logical argument to support it. They have only managed to have such a stronghold on so many institutions and individuals by asserting and propagating the idea that the GC movement and its reliance on science and logic, is indeed fascist, right-wing, akin to Nazism and opposed to the actual existence of trans people.

Hence we have organisations such as the BMA attempting to redefine 'biological sex' as an nebulous concept, to try to remove science from the equation. I saw yesterday that the British Veterinary Assoc has come out slamming the SC ruling as 'regressive', See also the NHS's determined efforts to erase the word 'woman' and to pretend that biological sex isn't a clear concept that everyone, including all its medical practitioners, understands and is fully aware of its importance in all areas.

Trans ideology can only exist by forcing everyone to ignore science and logic and by demonising and denouncing all who refuse to do so, as bigots or worse. The identity of the individual GC people is irrelevant.

Absolutely horrified at what happened to Charlie. I've followed him for a long time - I wouldn't say I agreed with every single view of his, but I absolutely respected him (and it goes without saying, he had my full support on his TERFy views!). I was watching it all unfold last night and I feel utterly sad for his family.

Nobody deserves to be killed for having an opinion. This is super dangerous territory.

I think a huge problem now is that people can’t accept differences of opinion. Or pigeonhole people due to one opinion and think if they don’t agree with one viewpoint, they’re bad. Plus at one time politicians tried to at least make an effort to seem to be trying to woo voters rather than telling them what to think. I loathe that gender ideology is seen as a political issue rather than an ideological one. I’m generally left of centre, but my views on gender are based on science rather than feelings and the fact I just don’t get it at all. No debate is dangerous, but unsurprising because how can you debate something as nonsensical as gender ideology. Politicians and the state in general are turning a blind eye to TRA threatening death and violence, yet the police are arresting people for not having the right views. It’s so wrong, a dystopian nightmare and letting people as unstable and aggressive as so many of these TRA, call the shots and police what people can think and say is not going to end well.

John Boyne has had a prize from the UCD Literary and Historical society withdrawn

"Despite outlining his disappointment and bafflement, Boyne said he “won’t be losing sleep” over the decision."
“Awards are ultimately meaningless. The books matter. Readers matter. And if using one’s platform to defend the rights of women, children, lesbians and gay men means that some plaque doesn’t end up on my wall... well, I won’t be losing any sleep over it."
👏👏👏
