‘Transphobes’ are swivel-eyed, says Labour MP in leaked audio

What does he think, they put a TRA at the head of the EHRC and they misrepresent the law and there aren't any repercussions?
The EHRC doesn't have whatever role he thinks they do. This is why the extended consultation was a misstep because its led to people thinking that the EHRC has a role other than setting out what the legislation is.
I'm sure transphobes are not well people but being gender critical does not make someone a transphobe.
"“So if we can bring the debate back into being one based on rationalism and compassion – and actually as we know, the facts – I think that’s a much better place for all of us to be.
“What we can’t be, is we can’t look like the alternative version of the transphobes. The best argument against them is a conversation with them, because they look swivel eyed and honestly, they’re not very well people, I don’t think, the ones that I’ve met."
Theres a reason one side wanted debate and the other side avoided it like the plague, when I think of the court cases of the last few years I can't think of a single gender critical person who was not able to rationally explain their position and a single TRA who was able to explain their position. If hes volunteering for conversations I'm sure Helen Joyce, Julie Bindel, Maya Forstater etc would happily have a videoed conversation with him so he can point out how rational the TRA position is
