I left the WI over their trans-inclusive stance - at the time I was in a difficult relationship and the WI had given me one place free of men while I found the courage and resources to kick him to the kerb, but then AGP men started to join. My branch (I don't live there any more) was so captured it wasn't even worth telling them why, I just stopped going and stopped my subs. If they get their act together I might consider rejoining.

incredible article about the young woman who was banned, vilified and dragged through a farcical set of proceedings for asking a man with a beard, “are you a man” when she was supposed to meekly play football against him and not complain like a good girl.

Well done Cerys!

Talking of Tennant, it was his son’s birthday a few days ago. This is what Georgia Tennant put on her public account

They have used that kid as trans propaganda since he was 6 or 7 years old, dressing him in rainbows and trans flag colours when he would have had no understanding of any of it. It’s abusive.

I’m taking the small wins this weekend, I think I’m over the worst of my white hot fury about the utter bilge I was seeing on social media, and it’s settled back into the usual simmering irritation. I was out with a fairly new friend last night and while we have tiptoed round The Subject, sounding each other out, as you do, we’d never fully got into it. Last night, he said at one point “Oh, and then there’s all this fuss about the supreme court decision” and I fell on that like a seagull on chips. “Bonkers, isn’t it?” I said, and we were off to the races 😀 so, so chuffed that this friend is terfy. Very heartening, considering the difficulties I’ve had with other friends deciding I‘m some sort of middle class stealth-fascist over this.

MacMillan, who are supposed to support women who’ve had to have double mastectomies unwillingly because they have breast cancer? This is such a kick in the tits for those women.

It’s beyond hateful for them to support this. How much do you have to hate women to think this is a good brand alignment?

This was a few days ago. Her sycophancy is off the scale

ETA how do they know they have two young daughters?
1) We don’t hate trans people. We hate that we’re having our single sex spaces eroded with no regard for our safety or concerns or our basic human rights.

2) How do they know their daughters are daughters? They could be sons by their logic. Bit rude of their parents to just assume their gender like that.

So today I was looking for somewhere to take my kids climbing, checked the reviews for a place and stumbled across this 🤢
How thick do you have to be to assume that these men are forgetting that children are around?! No wonder we’re in the mess we’re in.

BBC version of Cerys' story.
OMG, they’re so biased in their language: ‘demands an apology’ and ‘claiming the case ‘impacted’ her life’. They put inverted commas around ‘impacted’ as if it is not true. Of course it impacted her life - she was banned from playing 😡

And the walls came a-tumbling down!

Now, are they going to apologise to the teenage girl who they dragged into an inquiry, aggressively questioned and accused of transphobia while she wept, and then banned for several matches, because she asked a man if he was a man?
This is what is really annoying me about these organisations who are now back tracking. There is no acknowledgement of the laws they've broken, the harm they've caused to women and girls. There is no apology or reassurances that we can now trust these organisations to safeguard our rights. They're acting like this is a new law and they're expecting a gold star for changing their policies.

I was just watching the BBC lunchtime news and they were talking about the new Pope’s first day in the job. The reporter decided to ask two ‘random’ people in St Peter’s Square which issues they hoped the Pope would address. Both mentioned ‘inclusivity’ was important going forward. Wouldn’t you know it, one young bloke mentioned trans people as his idea of inclusivity. I’m sure this was deliberately edited in. Surely most people would mention peace between nations and an end to violence as one of the most pressing issues the Pope could focus on.

I’m not sure how to link to a video on Twitter, but this repugnant specimen with his tuneless “singing” and annoying facial expressions isn’t doing his cause any favours. Seeing that, I’d think what a fucking creepy weirdo.

It’s his annoying little shaking heads at the camera which are so enraging.

I'm glad I've found this thread. This whole thing is causing issues between me and my husband as he seems to think it's OK that convicted rapists (men) are allowed in women's prisons and changing rooms just because 'well they are women technically'. Well no they have a penis so no technically about it.

I know a couple of trans men and they are confused and I just don't know what my opinion should be.
I’m having the same issue with my husband at the moment. In fact, I can’t really discuss the issue anymore without him rolling his eyes - why can’t *I* just ‘be kind’? And that I’m turning into a ‘right wing gammon’ because of all this.

He thinks when a man says he’s a woman we should blithely believe and accept, and women should make space for them. Their ‘mental distress’ trumps ours. Can’t make him see. He wouldn’t have a problem with a TiF entering his space… so I shouldn’t have an issue with a cock in a frock.

Anyway, just to say - you’re not alone. I question my life and what I’ve done with it - and who I’ve given my time to, more and more each day.

I'm aware this is mean, so I haven't said it, but so many of them are plain/unattractive in a stereotypical way, or autistic, or overweight or something that will make them struggle with feeling accepted.
The answer isn't to identify as something else, it's to grow up and find your tribe.
I feel so sad for these girls who are being sold a lie.
I watched a Helen Joyce vid on YouTube yesterday and she described NB women as ‘not like other girls’ which I thought was spot on. Very much like how I was when I was a teenager. It’s all just a crutch to cope with mental distress. When I was anorexic and pure bloody minded about weight-gain and my body not changing, NOBODY said ‘her body, her choice’ (even if that’s what I was constantly screaming at the time). I also couldn’t confront what was really going on until I dealt with the anorexia. Non-binary would have been a convenient cover for the ED as ‘sexless’ was definitely what I was unconsciously striving for. There are very good and understandable reasons why young women would want to grow up sexless in this world; it makes me angry that MH spaces seem ill-equipped to deal with all these issues.

Wow. Way to gaslight women assaulted - or whose children have been assaulted- by men dressed as women. Is she saying that’s never happened?
I don’t think Nicola Sturgeon has the ability to even consider that she might ever be wrong. I absolutely loathe her with a passion.
She says, “It certainly doesn't make a single woman any safer to do that because the threat to women, as I think we all know, comes from predatory and abusive men." Humans cannot change sex, and a TIM is still a man and still is perfectly capable of being predatory and abusive. Shes an absolute disgrace and traitor to women.

She had autism as well if I recall correctly? Such a cruel thing to do to a young girl who's just being honest about what she's seeing.
They never think of anything but their own selfish desires. Too bad if a girl misses out or gets put off of sports as long as the big bloke gets his own way.
