Did any Scots watch debate night last night? I was pretty impressed with Furgus Ewing on the SC ruling question. A quick Google this morning and it seems he's been pushing back against Sturgeon on it for years.

This is exactly what has happened to us politically.

Funny that isn’t it. Women across the political sphere have all of a sudden decided they’re far right fascists. 🫠 or maybe it’s because this threatens women regardless of their other political beliefs 🙈

I’m guessing the prohibitions around motorcycle helmets and balaclavas are still in force, so why are people allowed to wear face coverings everywhere now? Did Covid mean we all have to just put up with it? It’s used to evade detection for criminal activity. How are ID checks done if someone insists on wearing one?

I'm sure they'll be missed.

RCSLT was my former professional body - I am proud of them.
One of my sons has had SLT every week for the past 12 years. I can’t imagine any of the professionals involved with him going along with this crap - they are too focused on the needs of their service users.

As long as they don’t cave into the pressure!
I doubt it (and hope not!).

For a profession of "scarf-wavers" * we are surprisingly grounded in reality. 😁

* as one hospital manager apparently described us to one of my colleagues.

What the hell are ‘scarf wavers’?

This woman wants to be elected as a Labour councillor in May.
This was her response to mean women being unhappy at men in their spaces.
Not covered her face as she is a public figure but will delete if I should do.
And a Muslim too. I wouldn't vote for someone who doesn't have the same values as me.

We missed what the Crab Museum had to say 🫠

Are these people bleeping illiterate? The EA2010 still contains GENDER REASSIGNMENT as a protected characteristic. Trans people are protected from discrimination on the basis of that characteristic as sex (in reality, being a bio woman) doesn’t apply.

I’m a white woman. I can’t claim to be discriminated against as a black woman. Woman yes, black no.

Apparently we are all very fluffy and all accessorise our outfits with scarves. (Even the blokes in the profession, presumably). SLT seems not to be a proper medical discipline at all according to some people - just the medical equivalent of.a PE teacher (apologies to all PE teachers out there - I know you have to do sports science and anatomy etc as well, but you know what the public perception is - you just play football all day).

Nadia Whittome is highly dangerous IMO. And I’m still a leftie! Gender ideology is a cross party issue as there’s gender critical and radicals on both sides here. This isn’t right vs left it’s Neo- religion vs science

Hmm...

I think you will find most of the people kicking off about the Supreme Court ruling, plus the subsequent hysterical guff, and those attending the 'emergency' marches - are not predominately from people on the right of politics. Most people on the right and centre (and indeed the softer side of the left) seem to be able to accept the Supreme Court ruling.

They are definately on the progressive/radical/unhinged left who never seem to accept anything that goes against their crazy ideology.

Does anyone get Victoria Smiths email newsletter? It's landed this morning, she's on fire and bang on the money with it all as usual. I'd love her to debate someone like Ash Sarkar on gender but no one would dare. She'd wipe the floor with them.

Whether he has to or not, I hope the withholding evidence thing and the lying mean that Sandie's payout will be huge, and that people will actually be held responsible and jobs will be shed like leaves in autumn.
The big issue remaining is Upton's claim that SP endangered a patient. When did he report the issue (it needs to be reported immediately)? Why did no one else report/comment on it? Did he cook up a retrospective complaint with the help of his boss?

Agreed. But then I never said it was. I said, I wouldn't vote for someone who doesn't have the same values as me.
