I am really looking forward to reading the Cass report. For the past 3yrs I have trusted my instinct to not agree with my now 17yr old daughter that she's in the wrong body, she's a boy, she has a male brain, I am a birth giver etc etc ... my husband and myself have refused point blank to refer to her as anything other than the name we gave her at birth and as a female. On a selfish note I hope this report confirms I have done the correct thing, as it feels like I've been standing on my own for a long time on this.

If anyone is interested, after my daughter was verbally abusive to my face a few months ago which resulted in me calmly telling her if she ever speaks to me again like that in my own house she can pack her bags and get out she has been abit easier to live with. We had a great chat about the extremes of both sides of the argument the other week and the importance of being able to have a conversation about the issues from both sides. We also spoke about the long term issues of trans surgeries- most of which she was unaware of. So I kindly pointed her in the direction of a few videos which she didn't shout me down for suggesting. I'm taking it all as a step in the right direction.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I am so thankful for this forum and all the members who bring so much info to my attention. You really have been my absolute rock these last few years. I don't think I've ever read so many articles and studies before.

Signing in as always.
I've had a massive devastating shock today.
I've got a friend of 30 years who I visit and stay with a few times a year.
She has a 26yr old daughter who I know and get on brilliantly with.
I arrived yesterday for a week, and have been told the daughter no longer wants to see me because of my views.
I'm utterly gutted.
I'm not backing down, but shit, this is hard sometimes.
---
I thought she knew and accepted my views, but apparently she googled TERF and she has trans friends so I'm awful.
I'm 5 hours from home and the whole situation is awful.

People like to make a "condition" their whole identity. It's great that there is now more awareness about many afflictions, but there are definitely people that are almost willing themselves to have a condition so they can fit into a certain crowd. There is also a definite air of "trendiness" around certain ailments - anxiety being one.

This definitely feeds into the trans thing, wanting to be a part of a group, all the better one in which they can see themselves as a victim.

The image further up of the girl with all the self harm scars is unbelievably sad. Did anyone talk to her about that?!
Hello. I'm 38 and autistic. Well, "on the spectrum" or "neurodiverse" as the cant is nowadays. I can't stand how youngsters use it almost as a fashion accessory nowadays.

"Oh don't mind that I have a stim toy and dress like Elmer the Elephant. I'm.neurodiverse. Tee hee. Like Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory. Tee hee."

You can FRO with that. I was informed that I was likely autistic at university by the Freud Squad and was offered a formal diagnosis of it which I turned down because I didn't want to stigmatise myself trying to get into a very competitive profession (law). I wore stompy boots and heavy metal T-shirts because they were comfy and I liked (and still do) like music with blast beats and chromatic scale based solos. I didn't go around demanding people adapt to me and I feel guilty that I can't seem to handle certain.situations because of it.

No, I don't like superhero comics, I don't collect Pokemons or Warhammers or Funky Pops because I like not being broke, and I don't like that these zoomers are declaring themselves autistic as a costume or to show they're Not Like Other Girls or Boys as the case may be. They are taking a condition I really would rather not have been cursed with and turning it into a larp.

Fuck. That. Noise.

I have a personality other than being "neurodiverse" thank you.

my midwife was a right witch to me when I switched to formula when my baby was a week old and yet this is fine?!
I've come out from lurking (hi everyone 😂) because this trans "breastfeeding" has really riled me.

My baby is only ten weeks old so it's still very fresh but, like you, I had to primarily formula feed from one week onwards and was basically told by a midwife that my supply suddenly dropping was my fault for not breastfeeding enough (even though my baby would stop feeding when he was full and I also expressed).

Mums get shamed all the time for formula feeding because it's not considered as "good" for the baby, but this hormone-filled man milk is okay?

Honestly, men just need to learn how to accept the word no

Apologies if this has been discussed before, I don't usually read these threads.

I've noticed recently how bbc Instagram page doesn't use the word actress when talking about women

UNLESS the person in question is a trans "woman" in which case bbc graces it with "actress".

I guess women aren't female enough as narcissistic mentally ill men to be addressed properly.

I caught Newsnight earlier. Trans guest said that society excludes them from so many things (paraphrasing here). Victoria Derbyshire asked what exactly were they excluded from?

They answered with... Chess tournaments 🤐

“A good opinion piece in the Guardian”.

This may be the first time anyone ever uttered those words! 😁

I don’t know whether this is real, but it’s bloody funny. Reminds me of Adrian Mole:

“idk how old she is” 🤣🤣🤣

“I haven’t really heard of that stereotype before” 🙄🙄🙄

Trust me, if you’re female, you are inherently aware of the historically-entrenched, universal expectation of female domestic labour.

Self-absorbed twat.

Just wanted to post a refreshing incident today.
It isn't groundbreaking, but any win is a win.
A year after my husband (mid 60s, huge beard, very obviously a bloke) was asked at the dentist if he was pregnant I had a very different experience today.
Tbf to the dental practice had just downloaded the NHS forms. He refused to answer and had a dig at the dentist about it. The dentist was very apologetic and agreed it was ridiculous. He did say that the forms were generic and not based on sex or age, but did agree it was a stupid question to ask a man.
Anyway, I went for my check up and they've started using their own forms. Still NHS dentist.
Today it said 'if you are female is there a chance that you might be pregnant?'
Like I said, not huge but nice to see a bit of common sense appearing.

It's very telling that on X, formerly Twitter, Himdia and her transmaids have all limited replies. The evil, bad, bad, bad, and evil terves haven't.

What worries me though is that they'll not go after JKR anyhow. Much as they would love to save the video of her being taken in cuffs to a jam sandwich car to their wank folder, they would rather pick off easier targets. Made the mistake of posting about TRAs not being welcome in women's spaces under something traceable to you while being a normie? That's who they'll go for. People who aren't so tech savvy or public facing and ideally in jobs where you can be punished by your regulator even if found not guilty.
They absolutely will be going after easier targets, but note this pledge from JK:

I love JK Rowling… assuming it’s still legal to say such things!!

Adding this:

JKR needs to put a request in on this to find out. Next battle ahead perhaps.

Complete contagion in the way that eating disorders were rampant in my teenage years (early 00s)
Imagine if all the parents of teenagers with eating disorders back then came out and celebrated their child's disease. Posted about it on social media, put anoxreia flags in their bios, campaigned for the world to go along with their childs delusion, implementing new procedures in the workplace and in schools where anyone who didn't go along with it would lose their jobs, made having their child with anorexia their whole personality and turned a blind eye to the physical and mental toll of the condition. Blaming everyone else on the planet when their child inevitably died because they simply did not affirm them enough.

It's insane, all this is insane.

Had a hopeful chat with my 11yo daughter today. We have a TIF in our family and my daughter asked what transgender meant, because she thought it meant you can choose what bathroom you like lol.

So I was factual but stated my opinions too. And when I asked her if she believed TIF family member was a real boy, she thought for a second and said no (🥳) I said I didn't either.

I asked her if she thought men should be allowed in our bathrooms just because they might 'feel' like a woman. She said no.

I'm pretty sure she's autistic so I'm determined that she fully grasp gender ideology is nonsense. So far, so good. She doesn't go to school so isn't hearing any nonsense atm, which helps I think.

My lil mini terf 😂
