DH accidentally ordered MILs birthday present to be delivered to us instead of her. Parcel came with Standing For Women on it, I was like what’s this! DH said oh its some woman called Kelly who she loves, she asked for a load of her tshirts. I was 😁, rang MIL, she’s a raging bloody TERF and more informed on all this than me! I’d vaguely discussed the subject with her before but she’s got lots of gay friends so it was a bit sensitive, she’s gone off and done her own research and gone full JKR.

Two women were killed recently in rural towns a few hours away from where I live. One is yet to be found and the other was stuffed in a wheelie bin by her husband.
A fucking wheelie bin for the mother of his children, a human being that he presumably cared for at some point.
I'm trying not to go on rant here but how does being 'misgendered' compare to being shoved in amongst the bin bags and just left in the middle of nowhere? Surely one of these MEN would think how absurd this is?
Apologies but this case has really upset me. men cause most of the bullshit in the world and still expect more, more, more.

Well folks, I have finally joined the ranks of the condemned and disgraced! I have been banned from Digital Spy because of a response to a poster who asked me a number of ridiculous questions relating to why I objected to the term 'ciswoman'. She compared it to me objecting to ethnicity or even the basic division between men and women. I said I considered 'ciswoman' to be offensive because it suggested that I am a subset of women, whereas there is only one type of women i.e. an adult female human. I said was gender critical and believed/know that you cannot change your sex no matter what you feel inside.

To compound my sins, I said that boys and men who have gone through puberty have a clear unfair advantage over girls and women which could not be in any way overturned by reducing testosterone. I might add that this discussion was on a football section of DS, so you would think that this would be uncontroversial, but she had said that it wasn't a clear cut situation.

She had said how marginalised trans people are and I disagreed saying the society now falls over itself to affirm trans rights at the expense of women in particular. I also said that the fact that the vast majority of people who claim to be trans now just self-identify makes it even more important to protect the hard earned rights of girls and women particularly in relation to sport, safe spaces and other sex-based rights.

Now bear in mind the fact that my answer was in direct response to questions that she asked. And it was polite and measured. She chose not to acknowledge or even respond to my reply which I was heartened to see received over a dozen upvotes. However, I think she must have festered over my answer, because yesterday, two days after our exchange, I found my account blocked and received an email from DS support telling me that my post could be considered transphobic and because they have a zero policy regarding posts that could cause harm, I am permanently banned.

It's funny because it really upset me partly because I have no right of reply. That said, it has made me feel so much more awe and respect for the likes of Maya Forstater, Kathleen Stock, Alison Bailey, Rachael Meade and Jo Phoenix amongst others. If I can get upset about being totally misrepresented and being banned from a random entertainment forum, I can't imagine how it must feel to have your work colleagues against you and to lose your livelihood for your beliefs.

Anyway, I'm over it now and will look to get my sport talk fix in other ways. Although if I'd known that I was going to be banned, I would have gone out in a blaze of glory and posted something less diplomatic. @Lucyxxxx, perhaps I would have used your infamous gif of Vanessa in Eastenders pulling the curtains down in rage.😂 In fact I might join you reprobates on the Goodman threads!

Seriously though, it's amazing how these people ask you to back up your statements, and when you do, because they have no answer, they just cry 'transphobia' and you are condemned out of hand. And this comes when even Labour are admitting defeat with regard to sport and today the NHS is backpedalling regarding puberty blockers. History will look back on this decade with astonishment as a decade when intelligent people collectively lost their minds to deny basic biology and its natural consequences.

I watched One Life last night, a true-story-based movie about an Englishman Nicky Winton (played superbly by Anthony Hopkins) who saves hundreds of children before Nazi occupation, bawled at many parts, and afterward felt more enraged by shit like this because THEY'RE NOT REAL PROBLEMS. All of this trans shit is purely intellectual. I know there are some instances of violence, but not enough for it to dominate media and society the way it is right now. Certainly not as much as what women face - that continues to be grossly overlooked (oh another woman killed by her husband, whoopsie daisy! Oh, more rape. What a shame. Sexual harassment, sorry 'bout it. Etc) but slap the word 'trans' on it and suddenly we're all meant to be aghast? Not even just aghast - changing laws and systems and processes and bending over backwards to accommodate what are, let's be real, fundamentally just mentally ill people with nothing else to be concerned about?

The vast majority of what's "wrong" is purely intellectual - differing opinions, hurt feelings; no actual threat to food, shelter, safety, family, anything. These people are predominantly white, predominantly housed, fed and watered; predominantly FINE. We had years, decades, centuries, where none of that was a given. People were under threat constantly and had real, huge, impactful shit to be concerned about. Now, really, in the developed world at least, we're fine. Is it just me who feels it's borderline disrespectful to all who fought, starved and struggled before us to not simply revel in that and enjoy our sweet lives, but instead invent completely bullshit problems and make them these huge things that dominate the public agenda? I just ... I CANNOT! There are still wars being waged in the world, there are still kids not being fed, domestic abuse is still a massive issue, poverty is everywhere, but THIS is what we should all be wringing our handkerchiefs over? Gender fucking dysmorphia?!?

Give me strength.

(And might I just add, as a currently heavily pregnant woman, trans men don't want this reality. They don't. If becoming a woman meant actually BEING a woman, menstrual cycles and discrimination and pregnancy and childbirth and all, they'd fall a-fucking-part!)

Grrrrrrr. I’m so mad! Went into my local library today as it was raining and I didn’t have a coat. I haven’t been in for a couple of years and I walked past a selection of non-fiction books aimed at, I would say, 4-7 year olds. This book was on display:

Obviously, I felt compelled to flick through and this is just some of the shit thats being put out to kids who can barely read:

I’ve never done this before, but I feel so strongly about not indoctrinating little kids that I reshelved it under the bookshelf.

This thread has helped me so much you all have no idea!

I work with a TIW and I have found it so difficult to play along with the charade. I work for a government body so unfortunately the cards are stacked against me, and i would likely face disciplinary action if I say one word that would make me appear "transphobic".

So having to play along and share bathrooms with this person hasn't been easy. I probably wouldn't mind so much until I googled this person and saw some of the bile they've been spewing online about "cis" women. I detest that term. I've seen tweets about "punching TERFS" etc and since this person is about 6ft4 in height, it's intimidating to me having to work with them and act like I believe this nonsense.

I'm even annoyed at myself partially respecting pronouns in this comment, when this thread is the safe space to not be forced to do that.

Really heartening to see such like minded people here, shows me I'm not alone.

I subscribe to Rob Henderson’s substack and he recently wrote about luxury beliefs "luxury beliefs framework—ideas and opinions that confer status on the upper class, while inflicting costs on the lower classes."
This sums up gender ideology for me. Beliefs that bring praise and fawning among the elites and entitled men, and expose the most vulnerable women to real and physical harm in society.
There is such a disconnect because they will never have to deal with the consequences of the actions they are enforcing. They will never have to use a Primark changing room or the local leisure centre. They will be highly unlikely to be sent to prison. They've never lived close enough to the line to understand what the other side is like. The handmaidens empathy lies with their peers rather than other women.
This ideology is so pernicious and dangerous.

Him indoors and I have just been to see the mortgage advisor, going through all our docs, ID etc. he said, "sorry, I've got to ask, are you both still identifying as male and female?" We said yes and rolled our eyes 🙄 and he said "oh good, no one identifying as a tree today then." And that's what I like, people just taking the piss out of it in their everyday lives.

Being banned from DS is Level One Terfery. Well done! 👍
Your missions to follow include;
Being blocked by either Himdia, H from Steps or Stonewall on X.
You need to post a Terf sticker and take a photo of it (stickering the rainbow pillar at London Bridge station is extra Terf points)
Getting a "like" from Our Dear Leader, JKR, is the Holy Grail of Terfery, but acknowlegement from Dr Dame Katy Denise is almost as good. Welcome to Terf Island! 😁😁😁

You know on the X Factor where there was always a contestant or two who were completely talentless, but somehow their family and friends had, instead of saying "Sorry Dave, you're shit at singing but maybe we can find something else you're good at", had just gone along with it out of kindness and then you get to the point where they're on stage, making a fucking fool of themselves and bring mocked and taken advantage of because nobody wanted to be the person to deliver the ubpalatable truth.

I feel like that's what transition is, especially for people who'll never pass. You've got people insisting that trans women are women and trans men are men and they don't actually believe it any substantial way. They still look at the average TiM, who doesn't pass and never will, and see precisely what we all do. Not only is it dishonest, it's cruel.

Personally I'd rather deliver the truth with integrity than tell someone a pretty lie. It's never enough anyway. On trans Reddit ("listen to trans people" they say - and I do), there's always posts along the lines of "they use my pronouns but I can tell they're just being polite and don't really believe it". It's not enough that they can present themselves as they like and call themselves whatever (as anyone should be able to), they require a level of control that means we all participate in their version of reality. Which is why the main target of their vitriol is women, not the men who actually pose a danger to them. They expect our compliance.

I think something AGPs don’t get is that women dressing in dresses, tights, heels…while it can be fun to wear these things sometimes, that’s all it is, creative and fun. I know I can’t speak for every woman but I’d hazard a guess the majority of us never, ever get s*xuslly aroused by wearing a pair of bloody tights. It doesn’t happen. If anything you are cursing them because they are falling down 🤣 there’s no ‘I feel so sexy’ aspect to ‘dressing as a woman’ - at all. Only a man could feel aroused by that. Because they are NOT women. And are sick in the head.
I think we can go further to say almost every woman alive is not turned on (as in genuinely sexually aroused) by anything other than sexual relations with an adult they find attractive. Not children, not clothing, not used sanitary products, not people of the opposite sex urinating, not being a baby, not masturbation in public and not even feet.

I'm starting to see men almost as another species and the depraved things they are capable of feeling and then being actually able to do (because of a patriarchal society and their strength) is just sickening.
