I wonder how many boys there were in the Girl Guides? There can't be that many so it seems their parents must be TRAs, they enrol their transed son in the guides, they then centre themselves and lobby for trans inclusion.

As we know, it's always about the men - and this starts young.
There's a few leaders who are AGPs too

I hate the way these headlines are written as poor little “trans girls” evicted from an activity they enjoy. It should instead be “Girl Guiding forced to adhere to the law and address their lax safeguarding”.
Im tired that it's assumed all leaders are "so sad and disappointed" that we've "got no option"

some of us are just relived that we don't have to wait on instructions on this anymore and a decision has been made. And we don't have to privately hope we'll not be asked to take a trans girl on camp; or go on a leaders training weekend and find we're in a dormitory with other leaders one of whom is a Laydeee like Monica Sulley

I work alongside charities and often refer service users to them. Imo, and experience, the majority of people who work in that sector are cutthroat and would sell their own grandmother to get ahead. In general (and again, only in my experience) the people 'on the ground ' delivering the service are brilliant. They genuinely care and are dedicated. Start to get to middle management and it becomes a whole different type of person. Charity sector at that rank is extremely well paid and so attracts people who are not generally altruistic nor do they care about the type of person/animal their charity helps. People on £100k + who openly slur the young adults they are supposed to represent is something I come up against constantly. It is very upsetting and I have had my eyes opened to the entire charity industry.
Yes, this has always been my understanding. Local charities and volunteers who work in shops are the nicest people but above them where it becomes business is where you have business people not charitable people. I have never given cash donations to any well known non local charity as I am not going to pay for the CEO's pension.

Tbh with Guiding I didn't feel that strongly about it early on with the trans inclusion as I assumed it was going to be like 1 kid out of 10,000.
But then the TRAs never bleeping shut up and I'm so bored of hearing how VULNERABLE and oppressed they are and they're the Most Oppressed EVER

so now they've turned me right off their cause with their whining.

We've had to update our risk assessments for doing activities out of the unit incase we're harassed by a member of the public.

maybe trans people "don't just want equality" if there a credible risk of them harassing and verbally abusing little girls on a trip to say the museum with their leader?

I don't know the behaviour of some of these violent greasy TRAs and then the wet-lettuce BeeeKinds who enable them... maybe we're right to not want them in our clubs!!

A very vocal group of leaders seem to be TRAs

I've never been a guide, nor was my daughter but ended up finding out a lot about the GATE group by sheer chance, then told a fellow Terf friend, who passed my number on to a Terf Journalist and the rest is history!
I'm fully invested now.

It's a total echo chamber. For any leader who actually says - you know what I'm ok with it on social medial will get absolutely eviscerated

but actually the majority of ladies running rainbows brownies and guides are probably fine with it and grateful we finally have some clarification

The timing means they can go on summer camps and sleep in tents with girls!!!!!!

Just kick them out already, you know this is against the law!
in really don't know how any one could risk assess their summer camp if they know they had a "trans girl"
In their unit

Some of the hysteria about "men showering with little girls" is ridiculous though as adult leaders have seperate sleep and wash facilities from the kids!

I deal with a lot of charity accounts. They are all public accessed through the charity commission. The salary disclosures are eye watering. Same as all public sector with packages that cannot be matched in the private sector - they say they need to attract the best and give competitive salaries, but how do they square that with the fact they hire people the private sector wouldn’t touch with a barge pole? As in all these TRA activists who cause trouble and would be found out doing an actual job?

Rangers start at 14 and can go up to their 19th birthday so you could indeed have an adult male showering with a child Also at that age they can still be a Ranger whilst being a Leader in Training.

Absolutely agree, and no one seems to think the scout leaders shower with the kids? (Although there is suspicion around any men who wanted to run activities for children which on one hand seems unfair but then you look at the news and read all about men doing horrible things constantly)

Does anyone know the reason girl guides have said trans have to leave in September and not now as they're breaking the law?
Is this another case of prolonging it and then following with another excuse once September comes like the NHS and schools do?
If it's a case of the trans having paid upfront fees then why not issue a refund?

Peter Sutcliffe was a lorry driver, therefore all lorry drivers are suspect. Also. You ever drink water?

Well, you know who else drank water? HITLER.

I mean sorry to be scathing but that's a bit tenuous, tbh I respect anyone, men and women, who set out to give back to their local community especially through things like the church, community hall, scouts, girls guide etc. Too many people these days just can't be arsed.

I think community activities for boys have suffered a lot from an overly paranoid attitude, especially working class boys, where there used to be the youth club and the sunday five-a-side, now there's nothing and working class boys consistently score the worst for mental health, educational attainment, etc.

Absolutely, and GATE are pushing the materials at least on all ages, which starts at age 4.
