I think for me this is the most shocking transformation of someone in the public eye because they just look and sound so different.
Asia Kate Dillon had what I thought was quite a nice voice and dressed in a cool androgynous way with a shaved head and messy eyeliner.
In 2023 Asia started taking testosterone and the change in such a short time is quite significant.
Facially Asia looks so different that at first I did a double take and then the voice has changed completely. I watched Asia in Orange is the New Black and saw a few clips of Billions. Was wondering what they were up to so googled last night and bam!
With Elliot Page I swear the difference isn’t this stark? With the voice Elliot has, it still has some resemblance to Ellen’s I think?

I reread the first book last month after about 20 years. Still as brilliant as when I read it as a teen. Actually, reading it as an adult it's even better because I understood the adults' behaviour more too. Some cracking lines in there. Even the King's Trust charity would rather cancel an event for girls if they can't include boys.

How about we re write that from his mother‘s point of view? Once a week she sees someone who looks like her son, telling her he’s her daughter. Her poor brain struggles to make sense of this information, and given a lifetime of female socialisation, she knows that contradicting delusional men carries a penalty, so she goes along with it. What must she make of it? What is she thinking?
He doesn’t even MENTION her feelings. Just let her have her remaining memories of her son, you self centred abusive wick. duck me, that’s got me raging. These men NEVER think of anyone but their sad delusional selves.
