I did enjoy Mike and Monica getting overly competitive over the ping pong in the Hawaii episode. I agree that perhaps he wasn’t overly kooky but there were definite moments, the rat babies, the wedding on the street. Additionally I loved the bridesmaid dresses that Monica and Rachel had.
I actually think Mike not being massively kooky was right for Phoebe. He had his moments where he could match Phoebe's kookiness, but ultimately he was quite a normal, albeit from a rich family, man. And for Phoebe having had such a unusual upbringing and difficult life at times. Her getting a very normal, conventional marriage and husband felt like her getting her shot at a normal life thing happening to her.
I think so too. I think he made a better longterm character than David too. Although I liked David.
I liked Mike's character. Playing the imaginary piano. Phoebe trying to be posh and madly overdoing it, to meet his parents. I love their wedding. It is one of my favourite episodes.
I was watching an episode of Charmed and the “Put the mouse back in the house” guy was in it

Last episode, never understood why Ross is bothered about Rachel leaving but never mentions his child is being taken to foreign country
I wanted David for Phoebe's endgame. I hated the way the writers ended their relationship, it felt so cruel. He was so sweet.
I go so hot and cold on Phoebe, mainly once Monica and Chandler get together and it seemed like she kept trying to break them up!

I'm much less of a fan of the later seasons but there are some really great moments in there. How could you ever skip over Ross' speech and him being fine.
If I was doing a rewatch I would never skip 11, 12, 13, and 14. I love them all

I agree those 4 episodes are great to rewatch again, some of the better episodes from the later seasons
With the Stripper episode it’s not only the Danny DeVito part that I like but also the other storylines where Chandler & Ross go to their University/College reunion and we see the flashbacks with Monica & Rachel coming to visit them. Also Joey on The Pyramid Game with Donny Osmond

Similarly on Reddit, the way they go on, betimes, I think they forget that it's not actually real. I saw a thread recently where someone had watched for the first time and on reading online, they 'were surprised that there's so much hate for Ross'. Seriously, if you're actually claiming to hate a fictional character, you might need to have a think about yourself.
Friends is my comfort blanket. There are a few storylines I find a bit irritating - at most - but actually hating characters, or going on as if it's all to be taken ever so seriously - ah c'mon.
