In 2004, her parents had been divorced for some time and were spending Christmas apart. Unfortunately, there was a massive earthquake in Thailand and Fran’s mother, uncle and grandfather died. I don’t think her uncle was married or had any children and I haven’t seen anything to suggest that her mother had any more siblings. Their bodies were not recovered.

The year before her son was born, her father died unexpectedly. He was only in his late 50s-early 60s and I don’t know if he had been sick before. She’s also an only child.
