Trainspotting. Even if I hear a track from it in a standalone setting the scene it's from instantly gets played in my head.

In the early 2000s I listened to the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings soundtracks obsessively. I would often replay the related movie scenes in my head at each song and so would sometimes find myself unexpectedly weepy when I was listening to, eg, the Pan Pipes of Despair that accompany Frodo and Sam climbing Mount Doom 😂

But of course the best soundtrack of all time is the one that accompanies the best film of all time, and that is of course Labyrinth 😄 all together now:

🎶"You remind me of the babe!" "what babe?" "the babe with the power"...🎶

I have a massive soft spot for The Holiday soundtrack, it makes me feel all warm inside.

The Harry Potter soundtrack is probably my ultimate favourite though. I have an album of the scores from all 8 films played by an orchestra and I regularly listen to it on my way to work when I’m actually alone in the car.

Any Tarantino soundtrack. He reminds me of an awkard uncle who spends all day wanking, but he has fucking great taste in music and i would love to talk to him about music.
The blues brothers soundtrack- i have been obsessed with that film since i was toddler, apparently when i was 2/3 it was the only thing that would occupy me enough so my mum could tidy up.
Juno also has a brilliant soundtrack, so many hidden gems on there :)

Moulin Rouge- Come What May is just pure brilliance, and still makes me happy when I listen back to it!
Bridget Jones' Diary OST- When I hear I'm Every Woman, it takes me back to BJ drinking too much vodka and falling over

I think I wore my CD's out listening to them 🥰

I'm sure we all have our favourite film soundtracks. In no particular order -
Breaking glass - Hazel O Conner
Grease - Various artists
The filmed stage production of Cats 1998
The adventures of Priscilla Queen of the desert
Tommy - The Who

I'll come back to this topic.

The songs from the first 2 American Pie films - I was about 15/16 when the first film was released and that kind of American pop/punk was huge and was like the soundtrack to messing around as teenagers, going to parties, first boyfriends etc so it always brings me back to those carefree times.
