This is what I have - last had then done September 2019 and getting topped up in a couple of weeks. I often get compliments on them. I did start with micro blading and had them done twice but it wasn’t deep enough for me and although lovely just didn’t last for how much it cost.
So did I, I went to someone who was training in micro blading - she did a good job they looked good but not for long as I don’t think it was deep enough. Maybe it was because she hadn’t done it much before, I don’t think she ended up qualifying for personal reasons. I ended up going to where I go now from a recommendation of someone from work and this person recommended the machine SMPU over the micro blading.

I’ve got powder brows and microblading - combination brows. Love them, I had overplucked and mine grow in, in the wrong places!

Best thing I ever did, I had my face mapped so they now suit my face better.

I still have to get mine waxed because I’ve got thick dark (in the wrong places 😂).

I’ve had ombré brows and I’m so happy with them. I couldn’t recommend them enough. I did find it quite painful but it’s so worth it

I offer the HD brows treatment myself, it’s a good one to have if you already have a decent amount of brow hair and want them reshaped/tinted etc. But if you have very thin brows I’d recommend spmu brows as they’ll be able to add shape where a normal tint can’t.

I had microblading a few years ago, I have thick dark brows anyway but the shape was awful as I’d overplucked the tail ends for years as a teenager. I really loved them and will be getting them done again once I’m not pregnant!

I had combo brows done (microblading and tattoo) I put pictures of my before and immediately after.
I am really happy with the results! Would definitely recommend!
They look so neat and well done! I’m glad I started this thread I had no idea there were so many types and it’s been great to see everyone’s brows!

I have had mine micro bladed. Best money I ever spent. I am a red head so my natural brows were very fair and lacking in shape or thickness. I went to a girl who’s work I had studied for a long time on insta. She is a wizard. I was worried about the colour but they are perfect. It was a bit nippy but not unbearable. My main advice would be to pick your practitioner carefully and communicate what you are aiming for. The no water near them for 2 weeks is a bit of a pain but in the long run it’s a mild inconvenience compared to the time is saves you day to day pencilling your brows in like I was!!

Has anyone experienced their brows falling out/disappearing after lamination?
I had it done for the first time about 10 days ago and since then they have got more and more sparse. I thought it was my imagination at first but I've got up this morning and one of them is almost completely bald 😢 I don't think it's anything the salon has done i think it's my body reacting somehow as I'm also having issues with my hair and nails. I've messaged them to let them know but just wondered if anyone else had experienced this.

We have someone who does brows locally and is amazing has a waiting list to be her client etc but she won’t do laminated brows as she says it makes them fall out

Oh wow. So sorry to hear your brows are falling out.

I was really tempted by brow lamination but this has made me think again

I had my eyebrows microbladed in June and absolutely love them. I am very fair and was conscious of the fact it looked like I had none. It’s definitely boosted my confidence and will be something I continue to get done in the future. I would recommend doing your research and consultations for what you want.

i think it's rare as I can't find anything about it happening to anyone else.

Sorry to hear that’s happened! I wonder if maybe the therapist left the solution on for too long so they’ve over processed maybe. I’m not trained in brow lamination but I do lash lifts which is a similar solution and you have to be so careful with the timings to avoid damage.

Mmm maybe, I've been going to her for years so have no reason to think it's anything she's done in particular but I guess you never know. I've seen her today to talk it through and she's recommended some products to help regrowth. I've had a few hair skin and nail problems since having the covid vaccine so may be that's not helped either.

This has been so insightful! I was an overplucker in my teens as I had proper slugs for brows. Years later finally I got them threaded at my usual place and she made them 2 different shapes (ones more rounded and other more squared ) and they were and still are horrific, this was years ago and I still can't get them fixed anywhere I go. My mum has a brow shaper thing and "attempted" to fix the shape for me and completely butchered them. They're absolutely awful now, even powder or pencil can't fix them 😩
Tempted just to start saving for microblading because I've hated the shape of mine (more straight than arched)

Has anyone had any experience with smpu removal? I really want mine removing with saline but there doesn’t seem to be much information on it so I’m a bit wary

I think it must depend on the ink that was used as the results are so hit and miss. I’ve had multiple botched ink removal sessions and it’s very painful (I have a high pain threshold) with minimal results. If you go somewhere they can dispense medical grade numbing cream I would definitely go there as Emla doesn’t cut it. And plan it around your cycle. I had LiFT which seemed much better but the woman I saw is crazy busy and had a year long waiting list.

Thanks for your reply. When you say botched do you mean scarring? That is what I’m scared of. I don’t mind it taking however many sessions but I definitely don’t want to be left with scars 😢 they’re over 2 years old so have definitely faded and I really don’t know what to do. Wish I never had them done.
