I was just scrolling Tattle and saw this thread had been updated so went to check out Eugenia’s Instagram which I haven’t done for a long time. I’m a nurse, I work on a children’s ward (in the UK) and we see quite a lot of teenagers with EDs who come to us for psychiatrist reviews, supervision of meal plans, to wait for referrals to specialist units etc. Not ONE of the patients I’ve ever met has looked as unwell as Eugenia does, and I’ve had patients who have had to be NG tube fed because they’ve refused to eat, been sectioned, and sent to a tier 4 unit. I guess it’s a little different because the patients we see are minors and they usually end up with us because their parents are concerned and need extra help - but I JUST CANNOT comprehend how Eugenia has been allowed to get this unwell. It’s not like she lives alone and her intake can’t be supervised or monitored, why aren’t her family doing anything?! They will be complicit in her death - and looking at her most recent photos, she will absolutely die from this. I’m honestly shocked she has enough energy to stand. All of our ED patients have to be on strict bed rest and have to be pushed in a wheelchair to even go to the bathroom, and they have to have their heart rate monitored particularly at night because it will drop so low when they sleep that they are in danger of cardiac arrest. And NONE of them have had a body weight as low as hers. She will be in multiple organ failure and even if by some miracle she gets help and recovers, she will likely have permanent organ damage. She won’t recover though because she doesn’t want to, and you can’t force someone to engage no matter how hard you try. Sorry for the long post but I am absolutely FLOORED at what she looks like, and there are literal children in her comments like “I wish I was you”, like how can Instagram not see how damaging allowing her a platform is? She’s seriously unwell and we’re all just watching her die.

But she will still continue to live for years. She eats or drinks the minimum to keep going. With regards to the hate comments I think she genuinely doesn’t delete them to keep her relevant. If she becomes no longer relevant then she will lose the money and fame which would cause her health to get even worse

Not possible to cheat death in this way. Sorry to keep correcting but I just don’t want to risk anyone in the grip of anorexia reading that and believing it’s possible to straddle a fine line and keep oneself going by taking in a bare minimum of calories. She isn’t going to be ok. She could die at any second.

The thing is even with critical, end stage eating disorders, your tests can come back fine right up until the moment you go into organ failure. I've heard so many stories of people with chronic, lifelong anorexia who were seeking treatment and we're rejected because their tests came back fine. The body is so resilient but after your late 20s your body just doesn't bounce back. Take Nikki Grahame for example. She was doing well until she wasn't and then died in her sleep waiting on treatment

People are heathy weights can have both ribs and “rolls” that are more prominent but how nastily she went about that comment was truly showing. I’m saying she’s fake as fuck because she full well knows she’s a fucking walking skeleton and yet parades her body checks openly all over TikTok, Instagram, YouTube AND Twitch knowing her audience and how she is promoting her illness and denying it all at the same time. She LOVES the attention, she LOVES the comments of concern, she LOVES knowing that people are watching her every move all whilst mother dearest enables her. She’s a selfish cunt and that’s coming from someone who fully believes that people simply existing aren’t responsible for triggers of people online. But she isn’t just existing, she is fully promoting her sickness to impressionable teens and adults alike.

After hearing the news about Nikki Grahame today I immediately thought of Eugenia. Appreciate that all cases are different but honestly it’s just heart breaking and sad to watch someone die in slow motion like this. Wish there was someone close who could help her

I saw the clip on tiktok of her Mum saying she wasn’t concerned. When I read here she had said it, I gave her the slight benefit of doubt thinking maybe it just wasn’t the time to bring it up and maybe it was a quick “are you worried”, and a “no” but her reply went into grest length as to her having known her daughter her whole life and has seen all her blood work so she isn’t worried. It was a long reply with great detail. Shocking and very wrong. There was a channel 5 documentary the other day on anorexia with a very normal mum of an 18 year old with anorexia, the heart break you could see in the Mum (although she was trying not to show it). Her daughter wouldn’t let the doctor weigh her and her mum was saying either you allow the gp to weigh you or we section you, like any normal mother would.
Edit to add it was heart breaking to see the daughters struggles too, this sounded like I was only sympathetic to the Mum.

Anorexia is a death sentence. You don't make any plans, progress in any friendships or relationships, or progress in any way at all when your compulsion to get below zero percent bodyfat is steering the ship. She'll die, no doubt about it. I don't think even Nikki Grahame was as skeletal as she is now. I know mental health issues are a minefield and EDs are at the end of that scale but I really don't get how Insta can't kick her off the platform or at least censor her posts, which are dangerous for anyone vulnerable to an ED

I remember in the depths of my ED I could not physically move from bed, everywhere ached. I couldn't even hold a conversation and was repeating words or taking too long to find the next word in the sentence. I started going into a confused state and had to be hospitalised. its bloody scary. I genuinely have no idea how she is still functioning, even more so why is no one helping this poor girl

Does it bother anyone else when folks describe Eugenia as "very thin." No, she is not.... She is emaciated. Skeletal. Body weight not sustainable with life. Near death.

As someone who suffered from an eating disorder.

She is loving the attention she is getting. When you’re in that mindset when everyone is noticing how skinny you are you’re loving it because it’s what you want. You want everyone to know that you’re tiny and so skinny that nothing fits you.

Sadly with Eugenia she is getting to the age where your body is going to not put up with such abuse anymore, she’s gonna start to deteriorate very soon and it’s going to happen very quickly and she’s going to end up in hospital on a feeding tube or she will pass away from one of her organs failing. It is only a matter of time before we read that she has died.

Eugenia is never going to get better because she does not want to she doesn’t see fault with what she does as I think she could be a narcissist and the fact supposedly her parents encourage it. She sees no wrong with what she Is doing because her Parents opinions are the only ones who matter to her and as long as they don’t see the problem she doesn’t neither.

A lot of people also fail to understand that anorexia also is very addicting and that the counting calories, the exercising and the fasting is something that is a daily routine. It’s a feat when you only had 40 kcal that day and worked out for 3 hours and burned off 1500kcal. Her time in the eating disorder clinic did not do her any good because she was not fully committed to it as her friends and the state had forced her to go.

The best example of it is that when someone is forced to go to rehab for drug charges by the court and even though they’ve detoxed and are clean. The second they leave the rehab they go back to their old tricks because they were happy living the way they were.

You can’t make someone get better if they don’t want to get better. Eugenia will die from her eating disorder or she will get better but seeming at how far gone she is I think Eugenia will die, sadly.
