I want Mack to have a decent storyline of his own. When he first came into it he was there for revenge over Moria leaving home etc.. He behaved badly with Eric over his dead wife Valerie. There was spirit there, he was for himself. Now he is just there to pick up the piece's of Charity's messes of which there are many. He's too nice now. Even now after its all come out Charity doesn't even think Mack will leave her, she just needs to talk him around with a I've messed up again and won't do it again. You don't hang onto men like Mack treating them like crap. Give him some spirit again.
Aww I miss Valerie. She’s in classic emmerdale just now and is just an iconic character. Her one liners are brilliant.

I hope they split Mack and Charity up because she treats him like a doormat. I didn't like them together at first, but they grew on me, but I just don't think they work any more.

Mack doesn't even feel like his own character at times - so it was nice to see some fire in his belly with his confrontation with Todd. He's just there a lot of the time in service of Charity and her storylines.

He was held captive by a psycho for weeks, yet it's barely mentioned and wasn't really addressed after he left his brief stay in hospital. No mention of therapy, & his injuries healed in record time.
The trauma he must have gone through, but yep, no mention of it!
Now all this with Charity, poor bloke, give him a break, give him a set of balls, leave Charity, find someone nice, he really deserves it.

I agree but we all know this never ever happens in Emmerdale land. No happy relationships, they all end due to either death, adultery, murder, domestic abuse, drugs, prison and anything else the writers like to throw in to destroy relationships. I really like Mack and he deserves a lovely family life.

Agree with another poster the new character Serena is a good actress and comes across quite natural however I spotted last night lots of wide eyed expressions and once I spotted it, I now cannot un-spot it as she does it excessively. :ROFLMAO:

and each time she asks a question about John she gets shut down as it’s obviously a sore subject with some people but still she keeps on doing it and seems surprised each time someone says they don’t want to talk about it

I noticed that, she's going to be dodgy isn't she? Good actress though!!

She is doing a voice over for a funeral company, I forget which but will find it. When I first heard it I googled and it was her.

I agree. Mack needs his own storyline, not just be an afterthought in one of Charity's. He's become so passive because he's so scared of losing charity, but honestly she treats him like dirt. She didn't give two 💩's about his feelings regarding the surrogacy, it was her way or the highway. And as you say even now she's not scared he'll leave her despite all the lies and cheating she's done and if he did then he'd look like the bad guy.

My mum thinks they should put him with Gabby. She thinks they'd make a good couple. Way better than Gabby and Vinny ever did.

I mean he was seriously injured during his captivity - shot with an arrow through the chest, didn't he also injure his leg or ankle and I'm sure John hit him over the head with a large rock. Not to mention the dehydration and malnutrition he'd have had, but a couple of days in hospital and he was fine. No physio, no counselling, just a few episodes of recovery and done. No long term effects of being held in an underground bunker by a killer. Just straight back to being an extra in Charity's storylines.

It's amazing how much Kev improves the show, does he have his own script writer/ plot manager :) ? How can they give us Kev,Ross, Charity but let us down so much in over areas? Another villain is coming so hopefully the new Sugden isn't a 'wrong one' and this isn't another drawn out storyline.

every scene is better with Kev in it. I feel like it must be the actor that does a lot of the ad libs and mannerisms etc off their own back - the writers who are responsible for absolute dirge storylines like this ridiculous Kerry/Caleb scam or Cain being an angry selfish wick every 5 seconds can’t be the same ones responsible for Kev!
