Waking up this zombie thread with these bizarre pics from what is presumably Emma's ad campaign for her new gin brand. She looks so embarrassed to be holding the bottle (I mean, why not show them actually drinking it?!) and that blue dress looks like it is being suspended from her ears!

Daniel certainly gets the "most improved" award of the three, he's working like a fiend too and seems to pick roles that are out of his comfort zone, whether onstage or onscreen.

Rupert had a kid a couple years ago but is slowly starting to take new roles, he's got a few projects coming out next year.
no that’s okay - i just googled it and confused myself 🤣

i give daniel a lot of respect for consistently picking challenging roles and doing a lot of odd little indie films tbh. he could have dined out on being harry potter for the rest of his life but has actually taken a few risks in his career. credit to him for that!

i didn’t know rupert had a baby and have just seen it’s with the girl who played georgia in angus, thongs and perfect snogging 😲

I think when it comes to JK, Emma Watson gets an unfair go of it.

when it all kicked off there was pressure on all the cast to release statements and Dan, Emma and Rupert all released one. I remember being surprised at the time at how lightly her statement was worded. Dan if I recall, was very outspoken due to his links with The Trevor Project and Eddie Redmayne who was the lead in her movie was extremely outspoken yet all the headlines are this feud between Emma and Jk? Why’s that?

I don’t deny she has an air of self importance about her and she’s definitely won't be winning an Oscar any time but the whole she should kiss JK’s feet thing is a load of nonsense.
But didn't she continue to say things and then was publicly twattish about her at an awards show recently?

She seems, to me, to come from the Amanda Burton school of acting. The general demeanour is to have a smug, serious, 'worthy', slightly superior/ above it all expression and to be cast in roles that are slight extensions of themselves. When they have risked something a bit more challenging, the lack of range sticks out like a sore thumb. However, for some reason I quite like Amanda Burton and some of the work she has done. As I said before, I can't take to Emma Watson and perhaps it's because of her hypocrisy/ preachiness, as others have said.
I think Amanda Burton is smug and superior in real life to be fair.

I remember when she was on Masterchef she looked really annoyed at being around Alison Hammond.

Looks more like keira knightly than emma
Keira was always more beautiful than Emma IMO, although Emma is a pretty girl that photo certainly doesn't do her justice.

WTF is a sustainability trailblazer? Serious question, what does she actually do these days?

Tbh the recent film doesn't compare with the 1994 version which is leagues better - unless my nostalgic lens of watching it on VHS with my Nonna as a kid is causing bias. She was also rubbish in the most recent film.

I've always thought of her as incredibly sanctimonious and rightous.

I was a big Harry Potter fan as a kid and her interpretation of Hermione really annoyed me too.

I found her annoying as Hermione too. She was always 'too pretty and self assured' for the part.
100%! Everyone going on here about how plain she is but actually she was far too glam and put together to be Hermione. Buck teeth? Frizzy hair beyond book 2? Whoops.

Her last job was three years ago and she doesn't have any work lined up aside from the HP special. If I had to guess, the majority of Ms. Watson's acting career is behind her. Her looks aren't the issue, plenty of successful actresses are "plain" -- it means they can play a wider variety of roles depending on how they're styled. Amy Adams, Elisabeth Moss, and Jennifer Lawrence are not great beauties but they get work anyway because they're good at what they do and people like watching them. Emma is neither a good actress nor, I suspect, easy to work with -- she refused to do publicity for Little Women after Coppola cut a lot of her scenes.
oooh, really? Never heard of that, but I bet that she was royally p*ssed off :ROFLMAO: Not surprised either.

I personally cannot wait for her upcoming one-woman show about the hardships of being a famous movie star among normal everyday folks. I have a feeling it will be gold for mockery if nothing else.

She's on the cover of British Vogue, apparently she's a "sustainability trailblazer" 🙄

Terribly Photoshopped photo.
The jaw looks so strange, honestly I’d sooner believe that’s Daniel Radcliffe in makeup than Emma

…and sustainability trailblazer, honestly do these rich people understand what these words mean?

Do you think while he's here he could give me back my fucking pension which he stole when he closed Arcadia? I'd rather not have this to pay for miss women's rights holiday
And thanks for being responsible, for the closure of BHS Mr Green. I refuse to acknowledge his knighthood, it should be removed.

she was a last minute replacement for emma stone and there was apparently a scene between her and laura dern that was so bad that it was instantly cut. it was her highest profile role for a long while too so the fact that she didn’t promote it really stood out.

should clarify the director was greta gerwig, not sofia coppola though!
o_O sorry

daniel is terrible in hp but i’ve seen him on stage a few times (including in a musical) and he was excellent every time. he comes across as a genuinely nice person too, though i agree he probably never would have had the career he’s had without hp.

rupert is the most talented and ironically seems to be the one who has shunned the limelight since. watching them as kids i was convinced that he was the one who would make it as an adult actor.

Yes qudos to Daniel for working on his skills as an actor and challenging himself.

Please can you ask your dad to sell his yacht so people who worked in Arcadia and BHS can get their pensions back
Or at least one or two of them! He gets validation from idiots like Watson, Lewis Hamilton, Kate Moss etc frolicking round on holiday with his fugly kids.

It's funny a video came up of her doing a podcast this morning and she said I hope marriage happens for me but I don't feel entitled to it. I mean I think she usually feels entitled to everything else 🙄

If the lawyers can negotiate a suitable pre-nup behind the scenes, her next public positioning will be some sort of earth mother/career on hold for kids martyr. If it's still fashionable, one of the kids will be publicly transed before the age of 5. If not, she'll be trying to time the babies with Taylor Swift so she can pretend a supportive female friendship (keeping ever so quiet about the team of nannies).

Khloe Kardashian will be her surrogate and her children Ulysees, Pontefract, MaskedWarrior and Cornelius will all be trans masc, non binary asexual, sapiosexual, black identifying amputees and will be raising money for Trans rights from birth. They will wear babygros with 'JK Rowling is a nazi' on them and EW and her hubby will declare that they are going to live off grid to save the planet - in a 20 billion dollar compound only reachable by private jet.

I really like her though. I think she is smart, inspiring and a good actress. I think not wanting to wear a corset is actually very understandable.

The Little Women film was on TV yesterday.
It was worse than I remembered it being. My partner couldn't figure out what was going on with all the time jumps from past to present. I could follow it because I know the story but my partner hated it. It was horribly syrupy too, definitely not the best version of the story and Emma was definitely the weakest out of the 4 sisters.
