Probably. But I also think maybe Trigg playing outside alone and them being alone in the house was normal for them - so how can she really be judgmental towards Brady if she did the same hundreds of times? And when she says it could happen on her watch is literal - it could literally also happen to her cause she did exactly the same many times.

personally, I know that every parent sometimes gets lost in the tv too much, or stare to long at the phone, etc. But to be that careless with WATER is bonkers to me. I mean you have to draw a line somewhere and I think all sane parents are extremely cautious about water/pool/lake etc. Everyone knows it is so dangerous for kids.

also, is it american thing to be that careless with pools? Personally I dont know anyone who has a pool at their house. Idk but it feels absolutely wild for me to have a 2 or 3 year old playing alone by the empty pool with no supervision and parents being aware of it. Everyone who has children knows how incapable such small children are - they literally trip over everything.
No, I’m a born and raised American. Everyone I know that has a pool has a fence around it, plus alarms on every door. I have a family member that actually has a gated off patio area, so they can be in the yard but the kids can’t get to the pool. There’s also a fence around the pool. Multiple layers of protection is what will keep a child alive. Does their yard look like EK’s did, no. But all 4 of their kids are alive and well. The fence isn’t forever, it’s an easy decision to have a fence.

Every comment I’ve seen says the parents should be charged with neglect, why wasn’t they watching their child, should be in jail blah blah and whilst yes that’s all true but where was that energy and outrage for Brady? Or is it because he’s Emilies husband it’s an accident? No both are downright NEGLECT!

I think it is.
Imagine if they had a nanny and this happened on her watch. They would’ve been publicly slaughtered for “ ruining this families life. “

I went down the rabbit hole of the Police reports last night and in spite of all the redactions she managed to get, it's still horrifying reading. Someone had posted a comment on the man who does the Youtube videos about her that isn't it strange that they gated off her precious coffee machine but not the pool.... priorities and all that.

And the garden furniture so the dogs didn’t get it dirty- you can’t be too careful about things after all 🙄

I read them again too just because I hadn’t since it first came out.

I (almost) get what she means when she says it could’ve happened to either them. The pool safety, yes, that’s both their fault.

But him lying to the police, saying he could see Trig outside when the cctv evidence showed he never saw him once after he went out there. He lied and said he saw him on the grass which trig never was. He lied and said he was focused on feeding the newborn to bond. But the phone evidence shows he was betting and watching the game. THAT is unforgivable. 9 full minutes he was outside. 7 full minutes in the water flailing trying to swim. He did not check on his child once in those 9 minutes but evidence shows he was on his phone.

I could NEVER look at my husband again. He should have been charged.

They both should have been charged with child neglect, the pair of them are responsible for making sure that death trap was safe and secure. There should have been multiple safety measures in place. And Brady should be sat in prison for allowing the death of a child. He knowingly left a small child completely unattended beside an enormous unsecured body of water and went and sat inside on his useless lazy a. Like what the hell did he think was going to happen? That poor child has no justice! Terrible parents the pair of them, just happened to be on Brady’s “watch” use that term loosely he inevitably fell in and died.

I agree they’re both responsible and he really should have been convicted. I understand losing your child is a life sentence in itself - but she keeps saying it was a “preventable death” as though it was accidental, but that is textbook wilful neglect imo. I’m not American so idk the laws there but to me, it’s conviction worthy.

I might be wrong, but I feel like it probably wouldn’t have happened on her watch. Yes he might have fallen into the pool on her watch given the lack of safety measures. But I suspect she’d have had some more awareness of where he was for the 9 whole minutes Brady didn’t look once. Might be wrong. We’ll never know. Either way, I blame him. 🤷‍♀️

And she was sitting up in bed the other evening talking about love island wondering what the women saw in their male partners. Like girl you’re married to a trailer trash looking layabout who sat placing bets while your son struggled for his life and eventually drowned right within his eye sight and he didn’t look out for him once. He then lied to police about what happened to save his own skin. I think the love island girls are good.
