I always liked Ruth. She did well to get out when she did, Eamon always came across as hard work on a good day. Who knows what he's like now.

More support from either woman than Eamonn probably deserves but I'd imagine both are keen to make sure their children's inheritance isn't squandered by his girlfriend whilst he's clearly incapacitated.
If all of the family and the ex wives are collectively taking care of him and making sure his finances are protected, and if that included making his girlfriend vacate his flat that she was probably staying in courtesy of Eamonn's money, that can only be a good thing. Now that he isn't earning, and even when he was, he had tax problems, it needs to be done.
It sounds like they are forming a protective fence around him, good on them. They'll know exactly what the girlfriend was all about and even in Eamonn doesn't care, he should consider his family.
Eamonn is a silly sausage I feel. I really used to like him and Ruth. His “I’m gaaaaaaay” about ole Schofe still makes me laugh. Health problems are horrible and attention from a younger female might be nice, what would also be nice is if he realised that the two women he pro created with are still there for him and his children. If his health is declining he should care about his children and spending time with them and grand children which I remember him mentioning before
