There's an article behind a paywall over at the Daily Heil. Apparently Eamon is 'furious'. Not sure what about ... that Ruth has the audacity to find him a chuntering old bore and give him the boot or that the Newpapers got wind of the story.27 years they were together

Best thing to happen now would be Ruth turning up at some event looking glamorous with Vanessa Feltz ex boyfriend.
I find it very interesting that there are posts in this thread from 2022 saying it looks like they have split up.
I had the radio on this morning and they said Eamonn will make a statement about their split on his breakfast show tomorrow.

I have a feeling you might like them.
I'm just reading the last one now. Sweetpea is quite the character. She kills people. And the things she says/thinks/gets annoyed by remind me of some of the things we say on Tattle.
Used copies are available quite cheap on ebay.

LOL. WHY? Is that of importance to anyone? Absurd.
The presenter whose show I was listening to said they are going to need therapy just like when Take That split up.
For what it's worth, my opinion is Ruth is a grit yer teef and get on with it person and I think she's had enough of Eamonn's continual whining and moaning about his aches and pains.

Eamon acts like he's about 90 and has the weight of the world on his shoulders. I bet she made an effort, but listening to his constant moaning and vaguely misogynistic schtick would try the patience of a saint.
I can't even imagine what he's going to say on Monday in his address to the nation (well, the 326 viewers of GB News). I imagine it's going to be some sort of pity party with some snide comments thrown-in for good measure.
Anyone under the impression that Ruth is a nice person only has to watch her on QVC. She thinks she is Coco Chanel. Rude, arrogant, bossy, controlling, condescending...I've run out now!
I have always had a soft spot for Eamonn. He says it like it is, and that goes a long way in my book. I dislike people who pretend they are something else, I can spot it a mile off.
I love his little quips about R on GBN. Never nasty, just things like she packs for holiday like she's Joan Collins. He has let on a few times that they lead separate lives.
And quite frankly, if Mr H refused to help me put my socks on, or look after me in any way, saying he hadn't signed up to be my carer - my sockless foot would be so fast up his rear he wouldn't know night from day!
Heartless, selfish, self-centred/obsessed wannbe with a lego helmut hairdo.
Ps her clothes are awful, made for big women like her, and vastly overpriced for a bit player on shopping telly!

Yeah, her over-priced tat on QVC is pretty bad ... she makes out she's somehow designed it all herself. Fact of the matter is, her telly career was going nowhere untill she 'fell in love' with Eamon.
Ruth's 64 I only hope she left him because he's a bleep and not because it's the caring thing, he has a bad back she might have health problems in a couple of years it's not something you can guarantee.

I like both of them. I know for a fact the crew on This Morning loved them and always much preferred them over Philth Schofield and the coke head.
Her father died from Alzeimers.

Eamonn has suffered with hip problems all his life with associated pain.
He has had a double hip replacement followed by a dislocated pelvis which resulted in the bulging discs in his back.
Then his back gave way and he had a bad fall in which he badly fractured his shoulder.
He still struggles on with daily physio trying to get some mobility back but will never be free of crutches, walking stick or painkillers.
It broke his heart that he couldn’t get to his mother’s funeral as he was in hospital, even worse that he wouldn’t be there to carry her coffin

I don't mind either of them TBH and they were good on TM in fact my fav presenters since Richard & Judy.
He's certainly been through the mill, and that's before the ITV and tax stuff. It's an awful lot for someone to try to cope with.

I do hope Ruth at least acknowledges to herself, even if she doesn't publicly, that were it not for her connection to Eamonn, she may never have had the opportunities in broadcasting that she's had. There is no doubt she is very good at what she does and she did deserve to make it, but so much of the industry is about "who you know". There are a lot of talented people who don't get opportunities they should because they don't know, or are not connected enough to, the "right" people.
