Dress up or pyjamas?

Always got dressed up on Xmas day then pyjamas Boxing Day! It’s a bit impractical though when I’m in the kitchen cooking, sweating and I’ve got nice clothes on, makeup and done my hair and I end up stinking of roast 😂 The heatings always on as well so I get too warm in a jumper.

Think I’ll do black skinny jeans and a nice top! I got this the other month so I might stick it on.

I usually get a little dressed up. Not sure about this year, part of me CBA the other part of me feels I may as well make an effort!

I like the above posted idea of a jumper dress, dressy, but cosy 🤭

ETA although half my clothes don't fit me now, between WFH instead of being on my feet all day and starting running I've completely changed shape!

I will dress up even though I'll just be staying in. It's a nice excuse to wear the clothes I've not been wearing over lockdown.

What will you be wearing on Christmas day? Will you dress up or down?

I'm *probably* wearing this dress. It arrived this morning so I just tried it on briefly. I'm worried it looks too big, but it is supposed to be loose fit (see model)
I ordered the xs and am definitely glad I didn't go for the s.
Wish I had the model's height though!
Nice dress!
Yes I’ve bought a new dress too, after this year I’m really looking forward to getting dressed up 😂

I’d love to wear pjs but my family all get dressed so I’d feel weird 🤣 I always get really warm on Christmas Day and I usually wear jeans but this year I’m thinking nah I just want to be comfortable! So I’m thinking leggings and a long Christmassy t shirt

Leggings (without holes or saggy knees) and a nice jumper for me. I feel too bed-time in PJs and I cannot be comfortable all dressed up.

Somewhere in the middle in that I’m going to wear a smartish long shirt with leggings. Enough to look like I made an effort but also to hide that copious amounts of Christmas dinner I will be devouring 😋

we take a lot of posey pictures by the tree every year with our family so I can’t go in pjs unfortunately 😂

For the first nineteen years of my life I dressed up as me and mum always went out for xmas, then Boxing Day I spent with dad. Last year I switched, went to my dad's for xmas and stayed with mum the day after on Boxing Day. Well! He took one look at me in my 'Christmas Day outfit', laughed and said it's Christmas, put your pyjamas back on! Never been more relieved. As the years went on I started to dislike going out for Christmas and having to dress up, it just doesn't feel relaxing to me 😬

I'm loving the outfits you all have shared! For Christmas Day I'm going to be dressing up as my support bubble are gathering together, but I'll be getting into my pyjamas as soon as I'm home.

I bought a yellow blouse off depop and will likely wear a pair of jeans I already have.
