Looking to start work as an elderly night carer. Kids will be at school and it’s 3 nights a week 10 hours a night so not to bad. What does the job entail? Im really nervous.

I worked 12 hour shifts (8-8) in a nursing home. When I got in, it was clearing up their tea and cakes that they'd just had and starting getting everyone in bed. Usually completed that by around 11. Then paperwork completion until the first 'rounds'. The rounds involved checking in on them, turning them over if needs be and/or changing them if needs be. We did these every few hours. More paperwork, cleaning the communal areas and then home just as they start waking up.
