Do you wear a watch?

Just wondering, as I bought a new watch today, and I always wear one, and would feel lost without it (prefer a dial with hands), are they old-fashioned? Do people simply check their phone for the time?

Yes - I have an Apple Watch now and love it, but when I got it last Christmas it was a real heartwrench for me as I have worn my dads gold Casio since the day he passed away in 2018. Taking it off for my Apple Watch felt wrong.
Before that I have always had a watch.
Embarrassingly, I can't tell the time with roman numerals or when all the digits are missing and so I've previously had quite childish ones with a full face or a digital one!

I used to wear a watch a few years ago until it broke. For the past few years I have just checked my phone for the time but I've recently seen a Fossil watch I like which I'm thinking about getting on a Black Friday. My dream watch would be a Rolex Datejust.

I do, more of a fashion accessory. I do miss it when I am not wearing it but to I always use my mobile to check what time it is.

I stopped wearing a watch years ago and now I just use my phone to check the time.

Also, what wrist do you wear it on? I always wore mine on my right wrist and people used to think I was odd?!

Left here too, not sure why, because normally you would wear it on your less dominant hand/ arm?

I think it looks a bit odd when people wear the watch with it facing the inside of their wrist.

I wear an apple watch on my left wrist. I still check the time on my phone instead of my watch most of the time though 😂

Yes I do. I have a collection of Swatch swatches and am hoping for another for my birthday/Christmas. I love a watch with a hands dial and the date on it.

I used to wear one when I left the house until fairly recently. My toddler pulled on it and broke the strap, then it was lockdown and I never bothered replacing it.

Do you find people either don't wear a watch at all or they wear a prestige brand / status symbol watch ?

I now wear a Withings watch, which records daily steps, heart rate, sleep, etc. I love it.

Before that, I wore a DKNY watch, which was more decorative.

Have always worn my watch on my left wrist.

No. I have one that is sentimental so I'll never get rid of it, but I haven't worn it in years.

After my post above I received this watch for my birthday. I love these Swatch watches. I know they are a little simple and childish but the colours I love.

I love watches.
I usually wear a Michael Kors watch but I have several vintage Gucci watches that still run great.

I have 4 Michael Kors and all 4 the batteries have run out within a year
They are lovely and weighty but I wont buy another for this reason

Never worn one. It would be just another thing to do (on and off) and never felt the need to see the time all the time.
