Thank Christ I never came across those sorts of remarks on DS.

There was a poster in the soap forum who always used to post about Carla Connor being in a gay relationship with Michelle. No matter what was being discussed they always managed to fit it into a post.

If she's angry enough, she'll even create a false twitter account and pretend that this account is the person with whom she disagrees, attacking her. She's an evil little twit - as evil and toxic as the relationship between Shirley and Phil was.

She really had/has issues. I haven't seen anything of her lately as I stick to the Holby thread only but yeah... she wasn't well.

I follow the Corrie threads and I'm inclined to agree with you, especially the SOR thread. It goes around in circles with everyone wanting to have the last word on a subject and God help you if you ask a question or comment on something that's already been discussed! There's a particular poster who likes the sound of their own voice and dominates discussion on there, quite often repeating things that others have said as if they are their own thoughts. They also have an annoying habit of signing off each post with an emoji! Most of my contributions go unnoticed!

Same I posted something in a long running thread with a link last night about coronation street.

One of the clique took my post almost word for word with the same link 15 minutes later and turned it into a thread. I don't know why I bother sometimes (!) (so I don't!)

Hi everyone, its Justmadeit here, I've just joined this forum. Im a long time member of digital spy (17 years) same name on there (Justmadeit) and am currently coming to the end of a 4 week ban. What did I do wrong? I posted a YouTube link to a New Zealand doctor, Dr Sam Bailey who was discussing pcr testing accuracy regarding covid 19, and I'd previously posted another video titled 10 facts about covid which was pointed out contained incorrect data, fair enough. However, these weren't extreme David icke/Alex Jones type fear mongering links, merely different opinions on data and lockdowns etc, I mean heck, even government advisors get things wrong....anyway I assume I got reported by a member hence the 4 week ban. Its heretical to post anything that's not on the BBC or Sky news it seems, however reasonable you may think it is.

I don't remember the moderation being as strict years ago on there.

Anyway, i'm hoping to be back on there on Thursday when the ban should he lifted, though I must proceed with caution! I mainly go on the General discussion board or occasionally in Advice, Radio, plus computer/phone board for queries. I have gone through periods in the past of not logging in for over a year at a time and other times going on there a lot.

I was a member on and off for 17 years as well but got a perma ban the other day so now I've removed DS from my bookmarks and never plan on visiting again. It's no longer a forum, it's just a place for the woke brigade to shout and scream now. A forum should be a place where people can discuss and debate different subjects but DS is no longer that.

I think as DS is owned by Hearst and is funded by advertisers they can't afford have what is classed as 'different' views in case the advertisers pull out. Your Covid videos may have provided facts but they don't fit in with the governments and UK media's narrative so that's probably why you got a ban.

I would personally add Lucy Van Pelt to this list.

She’s dreadful from what I’ve experienced in General Discussion. Anyone who dares to disagree with her now gets hurled abuse in return. She questions anyone with low post counts, claiming they must be trolls (not just a new user obviously) and has tried to start pile-ons against certain users because she thinks her opinions are fact.

She often like to make a thread about herself these days and has become quite the irritant now.

I can’t stand her...

She is a horrid person, I recently had an altercation with her in showbiz because I found her obsessive hatred towards a famous person strange. I think it was her who reported me and got me banned so I'm really hoping karma eventually slaps her in the face.

It got cleaned up a LOT, I’m sure it was 14 or 15 pages long originally - There was a long running heated exchange between FP and Whedonite and Tanya1984 about said shitting self confession. When I’m on my computer I’ll do a proper search and see if any of the posts were archived before deleted

I think that was different, I remember the urinating one. It wasn't just children though, I vaguely remember them posting about going for lunch with a work colleague and wetting themselves on purpose for the attention. It was weird AF.

A soap forum would be great if it was busier here. DS Soaps is awful now, why do they bother watching if they hate them so much? You can't even have a discussion without it turning into an argument and it's too clique.
