She posted briefly on dogs and was all sweetness and light.
Just a few posts and nothing exciting, but she got short shrift. The dogs owner takes no tit and wasn't letting her pontificate without joining up as it wastes his time scanning through posts from 'guests' for anything dodgy. She chose not to join(so far anyway). Wise decision. On dogs she would never ever get away with the crap she pulls on DS, the doggies would rip her to shreds and the owner would let them🤪.
Seemingly she has had her a smacked in some way on DS.Hence her taking a break.

It seems Tanya is back in the Politics forum.

I went over to view a few topics and I'm glad I quit. It's not that everybody is a bad poster over there, but there is an ever-present sanctimonious and condescending attitude in almost every thread.
Actually my account isn't banned and I can always reset my log-in details, but there's no real attraction for doing it.

Was skimming through the soap forums today, it's all so stilted. God knows what happened in one of the Corrie threads! I'm glad I never got into it properly, there's a handful of posters who just seem to take ownership of a thread. Most of the soap threads just go around in circles, asking the same questions or getting into little spats over things easily googled.

I went to look at Tanya's comeback after reading it here, back to story time I see, lol! A school so strict they made her practically bow, but were totally fine with her amazing cat flick eye liner. I can only dream of being that cool! lol!

I follow the Corrie threads and I'm inclined to agree with you, especially the SOR thread. It goes around in circles with everyone wanting to have the last word on a subject and God help you if you ask a question or comment on something that's already been discussed! There's a particular poster who likes the sound of their own voice and dominates discussion on there, quite often repeating things that others have said as if they are their own thoughts. They also have an annoying habit of signing off each post with an emoji! Most of my contributions go unnoticed!

Sweetheart Holly 😇 always banging on about Steve and the Oak Ridge Boys. Gets very cranky if you mock her religion.

The only good thing about DS these days (and when I say good, I mean in an interesting way) is the original 9/11 thread that gets bumped every year. Seriously, if you've not read it, it's worth your time. I think it was only about 10 pages long and it covered the first couple of weeks after 9/11, such was the lack of abundant Internet in those days. It's like a time capsule, a real-time account of the events of that day. Very sad and worth a read.

I've just found it if anyone's interested.

The second post in that thread is rather poignant, with its quote from an early news report, "at least six people were reportedly killed today when two planes crashed into the World Trade Centre tower." 'SIX people.....'

I know, it's very poignant and interesting isn't it? Still only 18 pages. I bet half of them are from people bumping it in later years.

I think I know who you mean, it's normally a rainbow emoji? If it's them, yeah, they post huge walls of text just repeating what other's have already said. Another on the SOR thread can't help themself and will always make sure they have the most recent post, there will be a bubble of convo and then they'll post something, normally irrelevant, just so they are there. Tree like name this one.

Yeah that's the one, though they sometimes vary it, like at Christmas they put a Christmas tree! I hadn't noticed the other one you mentioned but I'll be on the lookout now.

Does anybody else think that there is something odd about Fairyprincess?
I've never taken much notice of them personally but I've heard others say it.

I find RobinofLoxley a bit strange - there's a thread about the guy that got injured during a mountain rescue and Robin's comments on there are very odd. He reminds me of Tanya in a way as they both have a habit of going off on a tangent and relating some tale that bears no resemblance to the topic of the thread.
