They’ve been on my radar for a while but tbh I don’t particularly love any of the designs enough to pull the trigger. My favourite is the new Hudson tote in chocolate suede which looks really lovely. I’ve heard the quality isn’t amazing but they also apparently do lifetime repairs. I saw a TikTok recently where someone bought a damaged bag on Vinted and then, after contacting Demellier about a repair, got it replaced! Which bag are you thinking?

As for Mulberry, they priced me out years ago and I just can’t spend four figures on a bag. I really like the new Maggie bag but it’s over £1000 FFS.

It was this one I was considering in either black or tan.

Yes the Mulberry prices are crazy I think they usually have a sale in June so I might hold off.

I’m not really in the market to buy anything new at the moment but I’m finding myself looking the Mulberry Lana styles regularly, I haven’t seen them in person but I think they look lovely.
I’m also over seeing Hermes and Chanel classic flaps.
My pet hate is the mini Kelly, I cannot stand that bag!

I let be my speedy but don’t seem to reach for it as much. I use my alma during day, meals out, day trips etc

Disclaimer I don’t know anything about Strathberry themselves with this comment this is more general BF chatter - but there are CRM/email search engines you can play around with, you can also just use Twitter/Insta search to see what they posted last year.

IMO/ime Black Friday has been very same-y for the last 5+ years, brands don’t want to do crazy discounting as it isn’t in their best interests, plus trains customers to wait for discounts/cheapens things. Brands have been increasingly more interested in loyalty and/or incentivising higher order values so you (or any one looking to shop ahead of BF, anywhere) may miss out on something like points or a voucher scheme or buy more save more that launches on BF, but unless you’re buying a lot does that rly matter? Also you’re nearly mid month so could always buy & return under your old order id to recoup the difference. Funnily my husband wrote to a (sports shoe) brand as he’d bought some shoes and then they’d emailed him the BF preview, they just refunded the difference straight away

ETA - forgot the old gift with purchase - which will be overstock they want to get rid of so pls don’t let that influence you! Again who cares it’s shit they couldn’t shift the other 11 months of the year x

Thanks for this. Yeah so people mostly said online that black Friday last year was better than their flash sale but only on selected items but also that post Xmas sale was even better. But then again the bag I'm looking for is black so not like a seasonal colour. It's a good idea to buy now and then if cheaper to return and repurchase. Will have a look at their policies! Hey, has anyone ever sold anything with designer exchange? I’ve got some barely worn loubs and some off white trainers in decent condition. Both with all the box etc included. I’ll never wear either again but I really want some nice white heels for my wedding, thinking that could be a way to fund them.

I was thinking of Louboutin Jane Mules or Hermes Oasis sandals. Does anyone have any similar styles to these they would recommend?

I have I sold some Yeezys to them and got a reasonable amount. A bit less than if I’d sold them myself but I couldn’t be bothered with the hassle and risk of scammers trying it on!

I had another item rejected though because they said they couldn’t find the made in stamp so didn’t think it was genuine which I’m still miffed about because it 100% is

I recently bought a speedy 30 in damier ebene as a present to myself for getting through an incredibly tough pregnancy. However I’ve barely used it as I tend to just head out with the pram and stick everything in the bottom! Here I was thinking that it would be a chic little bag for muslins, change of clothes etc but no…. hoping I’ll use it more when the weather gets better and I’ve not got a coat on with lots of pockets!

What designer items if any are you investing in this year? I don’t really have the funds for much at the moment but it would be nice to have a wishlist item. I do like the look of the YSL Le 37 bucket bag but it’s quite similar to other bags I already have. I haven’t seen much else I’m inspired by yet but I do plan on visiting the new Polene store in London as well at some point.

I’ve just online ordered a Jimmy Choo silver clutch bag that I’d been eyeing up in the sales…can’t wait for it to arrive!! And I have my eye on some Chopard Jewellery for my wish list!
