Really? Like we dont know if she even has access to general media outlets - now I know this is far fetched and all. I think Jen Hatton has spoken really well on this in fairness.

Maybe it’s just me but I’ve long suspected that they have some kind of arrangement, but he just gets sloppy and his indiscretions end up being public knowledge.

Do I think she’s a doormat? I’m undecided, however, I’m no expert but I think she fears she has a lot to lose by walking away, because she has already invested so much in the relationship.

Dee is short for Deirdre. Usually pronounced Deir-dra, not Deirdree like Mrs Barlow-Hunt-Langton-Rachid.

I was thinking of Harvey Weinstein's wife., Georgina Chapman. She was a mediocre designer of frilly princess-type dresses, and when she married Weinstein, he bullied several of his biggest female stars to wear her frocks to the Oscars and other red carpets. He also got her a gig on Project Runway as a judge or presenter, can't remember which.

Anyway, she came out with a statement about how shocked and horrified she was when Weinstein's abuses came to light. I don't believe for a second he ever lifted a finger to her - I believe they had an arrangement in which he would support her career if she looked pretty on his arm and gave him children. (I'm basing this on the same impression I have of Melania Trump - I mean, how could anyone let those pigs touch them?) I think Chapman must have known about the abuse of young women but turned a blind eye, and she knew that she had to disown him immediately or she would go down with him.

Chapman had advantages that Dee doesn't - a marriage & access to lawyers of her own, an education, a career, and lots of high profile people on her side. So she got a huge settlement and a spread in Vogue, and a new relationship with Adrien Brody - another pig of a man - look at how he treated Halle Berry at the Oscars.

I think Dee, whether she has been physically harmed or otherwise coerced by McGregor or not, has nowhere to run and nobody to turn to if she wants an easy life. She has a choice, like Nikita did, she's just not brave or principled enough to take it.

So glad I found this thread, I've found my people! Lol.......Long rant incoming, sorry! I felt really conflicted about Dee up until recently. Any recent photos of her she does look like she's completely shell shocked and dissociated. However this weeks instagram post from her has really sickened me, it's hard to empathize with her at all now. I know there's doubt whether she actually posted the vile rant or it was McGregor but I actually wouldn't be surprised if it was her. To me it read like the type of shit she would be spouting if she was coked off her head, trying to convince herself it's everyone elses fault but the rapist she's defending. I wouldn't be surprised if she had a few lines before she posted it.

None of them thought Nikita would win against the scumbag, I'm so so glad she did. I'd guess the only reason we are hearing anything from Dee now is because the world finally see's how fucked up the dynamic with McGregor and her really is and they are being hit where it hurts now by loosing money with all the brands being pulled and deals falling through. Finally realizing that they don't have the power and popularity they once had, especially in Ireland.

There's also no way in all the years they've been together his anger and abuse hasn't been aimed at her many many times. So she definitely knows what the monster is capable of. I'd say in the beginning of his fame when he became a big global star, the wealth and the lifestyle probably made it easier for her to accept and excuse as the good times maybe outweighed the bad. She had already invested so many years of her life with him before he was even successful and she knows he would never let her move on if she ever left him so she just accepted it I'd say. I wouldn't be surprised if they had an agreement of an open relationship (on his side, not hers) because you'd like to think there's no way any woman would just accept the level of cheating he does otherwise. Maybe she was even relieved that he was out shagging other people as it meant he probably left her alone sometimes as I have no doubt he'd rape her too if she ever refused his advances. The disgusting pig never likes to be told no by anyone. She probably hoped he'd be a bit more discreet about the cheating but he doesn't respect her so he doesn't care enough to even hide it, or even wear condoms. Dirty bastard. It's one thing if she turns a blind eye to him having consensual sex with other women but now excusing him of rape, and blaming Nikita, she is clearly fucked up in the head.

Regarding those poor innocent kids, there's no doubt they live in a constant toxic environment, it's awful to think about what they've seen and heard. I'd say in the beginning Dee just wanted to be a mother and convinced herself it would be fine (as fucked up as that is) so she kept having his babies, also since they aren't married let's not forget the more kids she has to him the more financially secure she will be either way. As bad as that sounds it's true. I think this is only the beginning of their downfall too, Nikita's bravery has opened the floodgates and I hope lots of other women are now compelled to report him to the police. Let's see!

I've always felt sorry for her, and was convinced over the years that she doesn't actually run her insta. After that shitshow display this week I blocked both of those scummers. May the downfall of Conor continue and may the full horror of his actions forever be revealed to him.
