Decent pillows

Hey lovely people,

My partner and I are after good pillows - where do people get theirs from, or can you recommend some in the UK?

Ideally synthetic ones (not down/feathers) and either chunky enough to have 1 or ontop of each other. My partner and I are both side sleeps too.

Thank you, from uncomfortable sleepers!! 😚

We got memory foam pillows from dunelm a few years ago, best thing ever, they’re so firm but soft and cozy, and nice and chunky

I’ve always had dunlopillo pillows, they are expensive but worth it in my opinion. I’ve tired cheaper ones and they just don’t compare.

This is a great thread. I need new pillows and would like memory foam. I've only slept with one pillow for years but the past few weeks I've had 2 and have slept better

I recently bought the Silent Night Bounce-back pillows from Argos. They're amazingly comfortable!! I only need 1 now instead of previously using 2.

Its been a long and sometimes expensive road trying to find the perfect pillow. Plus I can't do memory foam or feathers. As above, love silent night ones from argos. They haven't lost there shape and are soft but as the same time supportive.

I've been on the search for the perfect pillow for years. Honestly, it's like some sort of Holy Grail! I like flatter pillows and my husband likes puffy ones, so it's a nightmare trying to find anything. He brought home two puffy ones last year and swore to me that I'd 'love it once I was used to it'. By night three it was relegated to the spare room. My head and neck felt like it was about six inches higher than the rest of my body.

It does feel like a quest for the Holy Grail!! I’ve been convincing myself everyone else but me has it cracked!

I just want decent pillows that aren’t too expensive but also that, as you say, won’t leave me six inches higher than the rest of my body!! 🤣 bang on! Is it too much to ask, Santa? 🎅🏻😭

Keep the suggestions coming!!! Thank you all 🤗

Don’t get them from Next, I’ve got side sleeper pillows from there. It’s like putting my head on a brick. Hoping to find some decent ones after Xmas!!

I recently bought from John Lewis as they have a 2 year guarantee and they are really good at actually sticking to their guarantees!!

I am fed up of spending out for pillows and 6 months later they are lumpy or flat. So far 3 months in they are still good!

These are the ones I have

I’m loving this thread! Like you all I’m always looking for the perfect pillow too. I prefer to use one firmish pillow, whereas my husband likes 2 softer ones. Mine will still look brand new after a years, his will look old and beaten up after a couple of months, so I don’t want to spend a lot - well, not on his! 😂

My partner has been faffing with pillows for the last few months. He didn’t like my very old feather pillows which I loved and was worried they had “spores” in them 😂 He had some really cheap synthetic ones. I agreed to get rid of mine if he got rid of his. It was a mistake because we miss them. I got him a Tempur one at his request (medium firmness) and then he bought himself a soft one. Had to return the one I got him as it wasn’t as comfy as he imagined (lovely hour spent queuing in the post office to do that) but one isn’t enough and two is too many. He’s like the princess and the pea!

We have the Eve pillows, they are very comfortable. I’m terrible at sleeping and often used to wake up with a sore neck, these pillows are great they are quite pricey but I feel that they are worth it. If only I could find a pillow to stop my husband from snoring, now that would be wonderful.
