Can't bear imagining the same happening to Shane Hawkins, if thats who will be replacing Josh. I remember reading the articles when Taylor died and believe he was being overworked.
If I was his Mum I wouldn’t want my son to join the band - they are vastly older, Dave is obviously going through some issues at the moment plus like you said it could be that Dave’s drive to tour and do albums etc put pressure on Taylor to be overworked and take drugs to cope. And a big issue is that Shane will always be compared to his Dad and as a young man that could be difficult.

Violet Grohl went in my bad books when she absolutely butchered a cover of Jeff Buckley's 'Grace'. You gotta have the pipes for that song and she just does not.
Didn't Dave say something stupid like she's the only person who can do a decent cover of a Jeff Buckley song as well?

Can anyone think of successful, genuinely talented nepo babies?

The only successful nepo baby i can think of is Rufus Tiger Taylor, Roger Taylor's son. But he has actual talent. Yes he's had the best tuition as a drummer and then his dad's connections, but without talent it would have meant nothing - he's a highly regarded drummer in his own right (I know nowt about drumming, but have read a fair bit of praise from those in the know). He's also not appeared to chase fame, he's in it for the music.

Once Cancelled a stadium show so he could take his daughter to the father daughter dance……and got so much awww praise for it …….SPARE ME 😂

Fact he was having an affair with the women who fell pregnant, while he was promoting his autobiography in late 2021, a book about his life/ wife/ children……

And who knows how many bloody more.
Total moron. And I never thought I would ever say that about Dave Grohl.

And another insult….. new baby was born the day before Dave & Jordyn’s wedding anniversary.
Tbh, does it really matter when the baby was born? He's a rock star, he's slept around, he's been caught out.
How many rockstars, or others, have over the years, and how many haven't we've heard about yet ...

sadly no, not even in incognito mode 💔
I just copy and paste the url into archive.ph if that helps

A snippet or 2

'In 2004 a visitor to his recording studio (at that point not at his home) found that the wifi password was 'pussy' and there was a large poster of British pin-up Kelly Brook on the wall. Grohl also talked of having to get rid of the band's porn mags before singer Norah Jones saw them, which may have been a joke.

Jordyn Blum was familiar with this side of him. She is not his first wife, and before they were an item he had a reputation as a ladies' man. He was married in 1994 – the year Nirvana bandmate Kurt Cobain took his own life – to photographer Jennifer Leigh Youngblood. They split three years later. He reflected in 1999: 'I was 25, my wife was even younger. We weren't ready to get married.' He then dated Louise Post from the band Veruca Salt – who accused him of cheating on her with actress Winona Ryder and dozens of other women.
Another girlfriend was US snowboarder Tina Basich, who had to telephone him over and over for five weeks until he took her call and admitted he had moved on. She said: 'I was really in love with him. Break-ups suck. Rockstar break-ups suck the worst. All I got was a five-minute phone call after five weeks of me calling and trying to get ahold of him because I just had to know if these rumours were true.'
The rumours may have concerned actress Kari Wuhrer, his next girlfriend. She was followed by the band Hole's Melissa Auf der Maur who he dated until 2001. No wonder his late mother said: 'I did worry about women. My biggest fear was that Madonna would snatch him up.'
In addition, he was openly appreciative of the groupie scene when on tour. In a 2002 interview – given after he started dating Blum – he said: 'Groupies come to the back. They know what they want; they know what the band wants. It just happens. It's that easy.''

'In another interview he said: 'There's a difference between true love and a crush, lust and a one-night stand... I do like a good tryst, though.'
So where does Blum fit into this? She fell into his life in 2001, in the middle of this hedonistic period, and they started dating seriously the following year.
The initial encounter was in 2001 at the Sunset Marquis Whiskey Bar in West Hollywood. Grohl was drinking with his Foo Fighters' bandmate Taylor Hawkins. He said: 'Taylor was the looker. Some bombshell comes up and starts talking to Taylor.
'I've got trainers on, no socks, dirty shorts and a dirty T-shirt. She waved her friend Jordyn over. I was like, 'Oh my God. Not a chance!' So I'm just having some drinks and acting like a jackass. And by the end of the night I was p***ed and I'm staring at her going, 'You're my future ex-wife'.
'So she gave me her number: 'Jordyn, your future ex-wife'.'
But Grohl 'wasn't ready for a serious relationship' and 'stopped calling'. Everything changed when Hawkins was hospitalised in a coma after a heroin overdose in August 2001. (He died of a heart attack in March 2022 while Foo Fighters – whose hit Everlong has become a popular wedding song – were touring.)
Grohl said: 'I was sitting watching the snooker and this commercial comes on for chewing gum – this girl walking through the subway pickpocketing people. All of a sudden I think, 'That's that girl Jordyn, that's that chick!' And over the course of the next few days I start having these dreams about that life that I'd been thinking about, settling-down dreams.
'I thought, 'I'm not waiting one more minute, because life's too f***ing short, man. It's too delicate'. The day we got home I called her up and she said, 'Wow, I never thought I'd hear from you again'. So I took her to a restaurant... and that was that.'
Until this week's extraordinary admission......'

It's the ones that complain that it's actually harder for them because of their family link!!! Erm...no....the reason you're finding it hard is either A you're not that good or B you're a pain in the arse or C both.

If they are genuinely talented there's a fair chance they'll get on and the wise ones will always acknowledge their good fortune.

The foisting of kids via social media is a whole other issue and don't get me started on the Katrashians...

Jared Harris, Richard Harris' son is a fantastic actor.

It’ll come out soon enough who the woman is, if it’s intentional or not, things like this rarely stay secret. Also if he’s wanting to be a “loving dad” to this Child, he’ll be seen out and about with it eventually.

Whats all this is press today about his close relationship with porn website founder Annaliese Neilsen, its said they had a thing and he used to pay her bills?
Probably media specilating at these rumous might turn out to have been true. They are publishing speculation in case they manage to guess right and get the exclusive.
I think anyone that is linked to him now will be scrutinised a lot. All very icky.

I know a few drummers with bad tinnitus from playing too often without headphones on. I read that the drummer from Inspiral Carpets committed suicide because of that. It’s pretty common and no cure.

I think the article is interesting. I don't think it should be used to prove that Dave pushed Taylor too hard. Taylor was a grown man, he could have said", this is too much, something has to change or I have to leave". It sounds to me like he was letting off steam to his friends about his workload rather than making it official.

Then we have Taylor saying he's working too much, yet he has numerous side projects on the go. Which was it?
Dave constantly wants to travel and go on world tours with massive long list of dates. He has a lot of energy, more so than Taylor did. It was known that Taylor was in awe of him and knew that the Foo Fighters was his main source of income. Maybe Taylor didn’t feel able to tell Dave that he couldn’t and didn’t want to tour as much. I know that Dave had this reputation of being the nicest guy in rock but with everything going on I’m beginning to question how he was behind the scenes. Not saying he was horrible or violent etc but from the documentary I watched of them a few years ago, when I came to work I found Dave to be very blinkered and purely focused on getting the record made and touring etc.
Taylor’s side bands didn’t do world tours and I think these massive long tours were the biggest strain for him.

Again, not saying Dave killed Taylor or anything silly like that but I can see how, potentially, Taylor felt unable to say anything if indeed this was an issue.

Its so awful for that baby, and his children. So messy and so unnecessary for him to want to get his extra marital flings. Totally changed my opinion of him unfortunately
