I'm surprised his wife has stayed with him because the "easier" (for want of a more adequate word) option would be to divorce him and take him to the cleaners. The fact she's staying must mean they're a rarity in the celeb world and want to make it work. How anyone can get over that level of betrayal (plus being so public) is beyond me. As others have said they probably had some sort of "don't ask don't tell" arrangement in place which never accounted for an accidental pregnancy!

To be honest so many people say it's been hidden but majority of us around at the time remember it and there's always a comment such as yours (no snark to you!) if someone didn't know. I think it is best that what they said is wiped from the Internet because you can guarantee some flat-earth anti-vac nutjob would take it was gospel and use the articles etc as "proof" and that they were silenced.

I'm not saying they shouldn't be held accountable BTW, just that the specifics don't need to still be accessible online.

Agree fully that they're damned if they do/damned if they don't. I suppose it's one thing to use your parents connections to get ahead, but another to be dragged up on stage and forced onto an audience who aren't there to see you.

I think it’s easier to not be a particularly good actor but still get stunt cast or trade on your name. Or as in Blake Lovely’s case for example, simply play a version of yourself in every role. It’s probably far harder to be a ‘bad’ musician and pull off playing in a band in front of thousands or not waste costly hours in the studio getting things right if the actual take to just isn’t on par with your band mates/backing band etc.

I could also imagine that his carefully curated image was more for his fans and that he and his wife had an understanding.
Maybe she had her own lovers, whether it was this tennis teacher or someone else, and now this child was an unplanned accident and he wants to do the right thing.
She married a rock star after all, not a children's book author.

I'm dipping my toe into conspiracy theory territory here but what if they replace Josh with Taylor's son? This would overshadow Dave's discretions when they do make their come back. Lovely story, son replaces late father in his band. Most people will be talking about that, not Dirty Dave.
