Hopefully I cover all the big stuff, as I know we've had a lot of new members and I think we'll get a lot more as things continue to go down the pan at 80/20
- Dan Wheeler (Whanker to us) is a scammer who sells a "lifestyle" (diet) plan called 80/20. Claims it will cure all mental and physical illnesses, as well as help you drop weight, whilst eating an unrealistically high calorie allowance. Spoiler, it's a con.
- Claims it has a 100% no quibble money back garuntee if you don't see progress. But they make you measure yourself in 14 different places every week, and if you've lost even just 0.5cm overall in 16wks, the money back guarantee is null and void...if it even exists (despite what he claims, his T&C states that you can't ask for a refund for any reason at any point)
- Once you've handed over your money (used to be £125, then he upped it to £245 for no evidence of the "new, improved" offering), you're given generic calories and macros, and entry to a FB group where people are only allowed to praise the plan...and that's about it.
- Whanker has no qualifications besides a PT course he did online with no client or gym floor experience, and despite his claims of being a CBT practitioner he in fact did just a 1hr Groupon course rather than years at university studying psychology
- He throws his mental health diagnoses around as if they qualify him, but one (ADHD) he admits he has no diagnosis of and the other (bipolar...or is it BPD? He doesn't seem to know) is questionable, he admits he doesn't medicate for it and instead uses it as an excuse to smoke weed all day, even on "professional" lives
- He claims to specialise in obesity, but again has no qualifications. He simply lost weight himself. But this was not with 80/20, nor with SW (he went twice, despite claims it gave him an eating disorder and that he based his whole TT presence on slagging it off). He instead used intermittent fasting. He was also a body builder, but used drugs to achieve that physique. A physique he hasn't maintained, which also calls into question his claim to have kept off the weight he initially lost
- The only thing Whanker loves more than your money is being social media famous.
- He really hates being questioned, disagreed with, having mistakes/inaccuracies/dangerous practices pointed out. If you do anything except kiss his ass, he'll have a tantrum, call you a cunt/troll/Trolly Cunt, and send his huns/rottweilers on you
- Case in point, a 45min Live by Whanker called "Trolling the Trolls" was made in response to the very accurate, level headed and eloquent Trust Pilot review left by an unhappy customer (she's here, and amazing). This encouraged people to go to her account and harass her, and was coupled with death threats and threats to falsely accuse her as a paedophile, made by the 80/20 pet project Dan Jones (a man whom Whanker is "coaching" to eat himself to death under the guise of strongman training) and his wife Carla. Another 80/20 sycophant Steve Roland also created troll accounts and even contacted the woman's workplace. You wouldn't know this looking at his TT though, as Roland Rat seems desperate to want someone to give him attention for being a victim of trolls
- These threads picked up pace around that time, and we proudly declare this place Trolly Cunt HQ. Its a safe space to share experiences, critique the con, save others from being scammed and to generally laugh at it all.
- After a few months of giving dangerous advice, being a sexist twat, making empty promises to increasingly unhappy customers and just generally digging a big hole for himself, Whanker realised his was losing ground as the truth tellers' voices grew louder. So he tried to blackmail the 7 members here who raised complaints with Trading Standards - he would give a double refund to them if they shut this thread and the TT accounts calling him out. He didn't bank on them refusing to be silenced, and it blew up in his face.
- Another fitness TT made a video saying he was due to go on Whanker's podcast, and was flooded with comments of people who HATE Whanker. This was the moment DW must have realised that the only person who believes that he is "the best in the world at what he does" was, predictably, Whanker himself.
- He's now gone into hiding, refusing to show his face even for customers who are paying £49 a month for his "wisdom" Instead, his business manager Matt (MattDan) is pretending to be him in some very clickbaity and passive aggressive posts on FB, desperately trying to snare new people to scam for a service and product which never delivered on its promises even at its peak, and certainly doesn't now that half the staff have walked and Whanker is out cleaning driveways instead of honouring his paying customers (the new jetwashing business is called OCD...all this mental health expert does now is clean drives)
- More people continue to share their experiences of being scammed, bullied, abused and conned by this "alpha male" (his words, of course...no one else would call him that), most recently a TT with a high profile that he used to get his initial leg up and then shat on, and a former member who he threatened after kicking her out for being pregnant
- High profile huns (Whanker groupies) are now also seeing the light and leaving in droves
Please note, as long as this "short" recap is...it's only the tip of the iceberg. The previous 11 threads show the whole story.
Despite what is claimed, us here are not trolls. We are a combination of unhappy former customers, victims of this man's bullying and abuse, people who want to stop this scam stealing money from more people, or those who just can't tear themselves away from the car crash that is Whanker (he has been pulling the same scam in slightly different guises for nearly 10yrs, and the cycle is always the same). So grab a cuppa, say hello, someone will award you your TCHQ number (now at over 111 members...a far cry from the 6 "crazy" women Whanker likes to claim are behind the "trolling"), and watch the show. Everyone welcome, even former huns...most of us were conned at some point, so no hate or judgement. Just a warm welcome for seeing the light.
