Something like this is always going be hard because it's somthing others have very STRONG opinions on, an there's always a point to both sides, nether side is wrong but people only ever want their side to be right an the other side to be wrong so it ends up in a mess with both sides trying to prove only they are right
To me personally there is a strong difference in appreciating a culture and trying to be that culture, while I don't see it as a problem if others want to show their appreciation for different cultures like clothes, hairstyles, food etc an making sure to get it right, others would argue that it wasn't right to do an you were trying to take away their culture for your own, which in reality you really weren't but they won't listen to that because they feel offended so therefore try an attack it to protect what is there's, which again I understand why they want to protect certain things, so we are back to the both sides being right but wanting the other to be wrong
It's like take Korea for instance, an I use this as a example because of what's happening
While I don't see a problem enjoying Korean food, listening to the music, or enjoying certain fashions an such I do find it wrong to class myself as a Korean an to make myself look Korean, I believe they are called koreaboos which they will class themselves as being of that culture and denounce their own culture, to me that isn't right and is offensive to the culture and makes it harder for others who just want to appreciate the culture to be able to do so without coming accross as offensive
At the end of the day if we keep trying to force cultures to stand by what only is their culture and don't allow them to enjoy others we are going to lose ALOT of things, music, fashions, foods, art, and more all because as more an more places become multicultural then more things will fade out simply because one of one culture cannot enjoy somthing of another, it reminds me of the uproar of a white western male who was playing a instrument an people were calling him out as racist amongst other things because he was playing a Asian instrument, this instrument he used was actually only I believe 3 in the world that could play it an he was one that was a master in it, so the organisation had him play it since they had no one else, this is what I mean with we are going to lose things if we continue like this, I for one would LOVE to learn many instruments as well as many traditional music but find it difficult due to places not wanting to take the risk of being called out for it, it's honestly sad to see that in years to come we may lose so many wonderful things, I would be incredibly grateful for other cultures to learn my own an to keep them going for years
